So, I listened to TBJ and they had a segment where one of them opened a set of old NBA trading cards.

I was collecting those when I was a kid (anything Grant Hill, I'll trade a Jordan for Grant Hill). Now I think I wanted to collect again but the companies (Fleer, Upper Deck, Skybox) where I get these cards are, well, can't find them.

Any chance you guys know online where I could get these cards? Old Skybox's or new Panini's is fine.

Thanks.

I'm thinking E-Bay as my last resort.

I got duped already at E-Bay and am trying to avoid buying there as much as I can.

Thanks though, Start.

You should be fine if you just make sure to check the user ratings.

Man, I collected so many NBA trading cards as a kid, (even more baseball cards), still have them all in binders and sleeves and almost got full sets on so many. Now they are all worth about 35 cents each. Painful.

Anyone still collecting these? I'm planning on doing it again but not sure if I should go buy the 90's or the currents (both can be purchased at Amazon).

These things we're fun to collect. Being so careful not to damage the corners, putting them in cases. Man, I was a Grant Hill guy. If I get a Jordan card (rarely), I'll trade it for a Grant Hill.

I once again started collecting NBA cards. Pretty fun stuff. Bought two each of Panini's NBA Hoops and Prestige. 40 cards total and I got some pretty good stuff. Check them out... (One of them came with a damaged Bradley Beal rookie card, bummer)

(I also apologize for the image quality, the good camera is out with my folks, used the webcam instead).

Dion Waiters Rookie card w/ signature.

Joe Johnson "Stars of the NBA" card.

LeBron James "Action Photos".

CP3 NBA Hoops.

Blake Griffin Prestige.

Rudy Gay NBA Hoops

Tyson Chandler Prestige

Joakim Noah Prestige

I also got this pretty sweet Prestige card.

And this... I'm thinking of burning it...

Second "set" I bought turned out really great for me. Got some pretty good hits. Bought a pack of Panini's NBA Hoops, two Prestige and three Prizm. Those Prizm cards are off the charts for their price ($5.99 per pack here). Great cards, shiny (so shiny the reflection of my cam can be seen on the image), perfectly etched and most of all, loaded with great players (or at least my packs were). Please check all the finds I got out.

Another AB

This is the shiny Prizm base card.

This is an excellent hit.

Another great find.

This is the best card on the "set". Notice the "rainbow effect" of the Prizm card compare to the non rainbow base ones? Absolutely stunning.

Very good "set" IMO. Looking forward for the third. Maybe one day I'll order a whole Hobby Box as well to get those elusive Memorabilia and Autographs.

Broke a Blaster Box of Panini Threads today. Not really a good box, only two inserts and all base. The two inserts we're so-so players too. But I got a few base card with big names that I think is worth keeping. Check them out.

This was one of the inserts. Pretty cool concept, didn't like the player though.

Another really cool looking insert, just didn't like the player.

Harden still with Thunder here.

SO I opened a box of 2013 Panini Totally Certified and 7 packs of assorted Prizms and COntenders.

These are the good stuff I got.

The best card for the month. numbered 09/10 Memorabilia, elusive Totally Gold insert. Sad he's still listed as a Rocket here.

Another AB, I can build a binder full of AB's.

I think you can. People are selling individual cards on eBay and Amazon and are being priced fairly I should say.

I'd be willing to look at your MJ's. I'd like some MJ's in my collection. Although Kyrie is the one I'm looking for right now, and I spent quite a few already and still no Kyrie, not even a base card.  :(
