I still don't understand why people were so high on Darko. Yeah, he looked not terrible during pre-season, but we are talking about a player who was literally never worth his contract/minutes at any point in his career. His absolute best season he was mediocre.
Dampier has historically been a pretty good player. He didn't get many minutes last season, but was serviceable during that time. He was also pretty good the season before, in Miami (better, in fact, than Darko was at any point during his career). I think Dampier is worth a try-out, at least.
Kenyon Martin is a better choice than Darko, but not as good (at this point) as Dampier. It has been several years since K-Mart has produced meaningful minutes, while Dampier has only had one off season.
