When the celtics run "ice" on defense (The double team play on the baseline where the baseline acts as a third defender); they arent making enough effort to either steal the ball or deny outlet passes to the corner or the weak side. They are getting in position to run ice a lot better than they were at the start of the year, but they still aren't hassling the ball handler enough. KG does a great job of being the inside guy,  but the guards/wings need to make more of an effort to deny passes out their side. Now that collins seems to be in the good books, ice will work a bit better when KG is not the inside guy because collins has the length to get a hand on the weak side passes.

That takes me to brandon bass and wilcox. Both of these guys are pretty terrible in double team situations/set plays. They either over-emphasise the double team (and the player that is getting double teamed sees them coming and offloads), or they worry too much about their own man and put in a half-hearted effort to the double team. The whole point of ice or sideline double teams is to force bad passes or steal the ball. It is a trapping motion, therefore it is not much of a trap if the guy sees you coming a mile away.

Bass and Wilcox also over-hedge incessantly, negating the "help" they give the guards by losing their own man.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?
