I want my Baby back, Baby back, Just curious to see what the conciseness is out there, now that we have a large sample size of Bass vs Baby. although Bass looked like a steal last year, overall I'd take the Big Baby now. Thoughts?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Glen Davis didn't have room here to be him. He needed to spread his wings and have a go without KG and the long and fickle memory of Celtics fans dissecting everything he did. I'm good without him here and Im happy he found a place that'll let him take his maturity and his game to a new level.

Bass, Im still a believer in.

Baby's numbers are inflated because he is a leader/big shot taker on a pretty poor team...He is taking double the shots than his career average this year.

Not to say he isnt playing well, but his numbers are definitely different because he is a big dog now.

No Baby, thanks.

That said, Bass needs to come off the bench, but that'd give us some rotations problems, so for now it is what it is.

As depressing as it sounds Big Baby is actually a big part of the offence in Orlando. Bring the exact same player he is now into Boston again.. Guarentee his numbers go down because he would be 4-5 option on the floor.

Similar to why Landry wouldnt produce same numbers if he came here

We're aware that he's shooting 42% from the field right? Pretty much ties his career low (last year).

Glen Davis divorce was much needed for both parties. Celtics got a player who fit their system better. And Davis gets to be featured on a young team where he gets to play through his mistakes.

How about that block on Pau Gasol?

Baby is happier were he can be "the man" and contributes heavily (no pun intended) to his team on offense .   I'm alot happier watchng Bass as a Celtic than Davis.

IMO celtics need a young healthy true center that can play NOW to help KG.  I miss what Perk bought to tthe team more than Davis.

Davis is showing his limitations while being thrust into a big role results in "larger" box scores.

Still an inefficient jump shooter, iffy defender due to the length (though he does work hard positionally to take charges), and a limited rebounder (he's getting more than on the C's due to playing C position full time and less competition on the defensive glass)

Bass is a lot more useful as a floor spacer who isn't asked to do a lot other than that offensively.

TS% under .500 while having a usage of 25? Yuck.

Not me!

Davis is rebounding more now that he plays at center, but still not enough considering how close to the basket he plays.  He still gives up a ton defensively, especially as a center, since he's supposed to anchor the defense.  He's blocking shots, which is surprising, but he's still shooting closer to 40% than 50%, which is also unacceptable for a center.

Still profiles as a guy who should be playing a backup role but thinks he's a star.

Happy that BBD and the Magic beat the Dwight Howard Lakers last night, but still don't want BBD back in Boston.

Bass 101 times out of 100. Baby is just a dumb basketball player. His shot selection is hilarious and he gets blocked waaaay too often. Bass all the way.
