I think I'd like it better if Bradley was sent to the D-League using the new ability to send rehabbing players there and inserted directly into the starting lineup when he is ready, rather than trying to bring him along slowly off the bench.
I feel bad for the d-league guys who try to dribble against him.

Earlier in the week, that was reported as the plan.
It would be good for the D-league, too, playing against NBA caliber defense.

How's the D-league going to get him more ready?  I'd rather see him eased back into the rotation, you don't want to give anybody recovering from injury that many minutes anyway.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

bradley has come out with the team and participate in warmups the last few home games and by how he looked, u would never know he was injured.  granted, its layup lines and some shooting around, but its still a good thing.

C's need AB's explosive play , Defense, and a healthy Wilcox run with the guards.

Combo's of Lee , AB and Rondo should provide for some fast easy buckets

I anxiously await his return...seems like forever.

No specific date given, but Washburn did a few interviews with Danny Ainge and this Bradley status came out with those reports, the 'source ' is most likely Danny Ainge.
Can't wait.

Avery Bradley is "very close" to returning from offseason shoulder surgery, according to a source.

Bradley was shooting before the Boston Celtics' game on Friday.

Bradley's exact return date to practice remains uncertain.

Several days ago he "wasn't doing anything" in practice. If "return" means "being cleared for basketball activities", I wouldn't hold my breath.

How well conditioned can he possibly be?  He probably  hasn't been able to put much pressure on those shoulders, and hasn't been playing contact, hard edged basketball yet.  His shoulder/arm/back muscles may well have atrophied at least a little.  I am sure, however, that he is doing all he can to get back into shape.  I just want him, and JG and Wilcox in top condition for the playoffs.

Good enough to play and good enough to win playoff basketball games are two different things.

This is odd about "wasn't doing anything", weren't we provided a video a few weeks ago of Bradley shooting 3-pointers during a practice session?

I cannot wait for this guy to be back!  We need it.  It won't solve the problem of our lack of a big but it'll improve our defense

How's the D-league going to get him more ready?

Walkthroughs and practice aren't a substitute for playing full-speed under normal game conditions.  I'd like to see Bradley go to the D-League and see if he is at all rusty when it comes to shooting in actual game conditions rather than have him try to find his shot in limited playing time.

hopefully this isnt an andrew bynum or andrew bogut-esque report

Bynum is a bum, this guy doesn't look like he cares about the game of basketball

Bogut is an unfortunate case like Oden...just way too injured

hopefully Bradley isn't like that, well thats also obvious cuz it's not his knees that is bothering him, its the shoulder surgery he is coming back from

sign me up for being very excited for him to be back

I think he'll being playing in another week maybe two , I'm not looking for much of an announcement.

Still need another decent BIG , but I'm still standing firm about not trading AB to get one.

Kinda the same way Shaq was "very close to a return" but never played another game for us?

Oh.

I don't trust anything Danny Ainge says when it comes to injuries and return time tables.

Actually he did play... 1 1/2 games in the playoffs (the one he played we won)...
