Can't wait until the Celts are good enough to hold a 17-point lead and beat the powerhouse bucks.

Winning on the road isn't a cakewalk

They we're up 17 points at the end of the first. Simply put, this team can't hold leads anymore. They are the perfect definition of mediocre right now.

It's plausible for a team to come back from such a deficit after just the first.
That's the reason three more quarters are there.

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
I think it may be time for one of those players-only meetings.  Miami had one the first year together, and they went on a huge streak after it.  We did it right before the all star break last year, and it worked pretty well.

Something's up right now, and I think the players need to solve it.

chill! teams make runs. And Celtics aren't the first nor the last team to lose a game after getting up big early on the road I might add. Stuff happens you know.

I think what's really telling in this game is that with all the Bucks turnovers in the 1st quarter, the C's still ended up with more turnovers than the Bucks in the end.  Rondo or no Rondo, this team is still too sloppy with the ball

really, that bad call was  4 point swing right there...we most likely win without that ticky tack foul called on garnett

im not too hard on this loss..on the road, without Rondo...another BIG game for Green, they played better defense. This team is getting to where they need to be

Meh, not going to cry about this game. They played well, while very tired which was evident with a depleted roster. Doc mishandled the rotations in the 2nd half too.

At the end of every game we give the ball to pierce and he dribbles out the shot clock and then puts up some difficult fade away contested shot that he misses a large majority of the time.

interesting.  Donny disagreeing with Tommy on the post game and sounding really smug about it.  agree with Tommy that Kmart is another PF when we need a center.

sadly I think Donny had a point that bringing in Melo would be a bad move -- still years away from being helpful.

I just can't stand Donny, particularly when he's smug.

Im not gonna blame the refs because these calls happen every game. We played great on offense for the most part, and had bursts of defensive brilliance, but we had no real answer for sanders. PP played great 4th qtr but failed to close it out. Shoulda gave Green the buzzer beater.

Can't blame the refs, we got away with a lot in the first half
t least that's how it looked from my seat.

I will say this, Daniels was getting away with nurser against Paul.
Still don't believe in Joe.

Fire Doc!

What exactly did Doc do wrong? And before I get flamed again, I am honestly asking.

He can't coach like a hall of fame coach.

He's been exposed  since 2009.  The C's have one in spite of him.  Same tired approach to rebounding, same Pierce iso that works 30% of the time.  Same mishandling of talent.  I like Doc, but i question if he can coach most of the time.

I like Doc a lot and I think he is a great coach. I love his style and his approach to the game. I rarely find fault with him that explains a loss. He is a player's coach and expect the players to perform. When they do not, things go badly.

Has he made mistakes? Of course, all of them have. But I find it interested that a lot of people slam Doc for not having the chops. It is easy to blame the coach when a team doesn't execute to your liking, but I am not sure Doc is the fault here. This loss is on the players. I guarantee Doc did not tell them when they had the big lead to "take it easy" or to "stop playing defense so well."
