I agree, I am now convinced that the nets are for real.  I am more worried about the Nets in the playoffs than the Knicks.  We don't have the size to match up with them.  They have a good set of bigs.

They are just better than us right now.  It is a long season and time to right the ship, but we are looking at 8-7 while being the 4th best team in our division.  Not how I saw us starting the season.

If amare, melo, and Tyson figure it out then I want no part of either of the NY teams.

Refs have sucked tonight.

I know we're usually not allowed to say that when the Celts play bad though

I agree. The ref have sucked, but unfortunately, so has the home team.

This is exactly why i don't respect the NBA at all and the NFL will always be better. Never in an NFL game are you worried about the refs taking over the game. Still, its not all on the refs. We played like hot trash tonight.

He took a shot at KGs head while he was in the air.  That's a flagrant.

Clearly you haven't read the NBA official rule book.

Page 257, Paragraph 3 and 4:

"If a player is fouled with uneccessary force or in a way which is considered dangerous, the foul will be called a flagrant, except when the player who is fouled is a member of the Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics players do not qualify for flagrant fouls.  If a Boston Celtics player is fouled in a way which is deemed flagrant, he will be charged with a technical foul or ejected, subject to the mood of the official at the time of the call.
"

True story
As sad as it is this has happened before. For example, the last time they played the Nets I think Keith Bogans didn't get called for a flagrant to Barbosa yet Rondo did for something similar to Wade.

As badly as they played tonight and I will not excuse that at all, I promise someone somewhere needs to speak out about the lack of respect the Celtics seem to get from the refs.
I don't understand how a team with a top 3 pointguard (maybe the best I guess it depends on your opinion) who's actually popular and is in the top 10 in jersey sales, one of the best PF's and players to ever play the game, another HOF player, one of the most respected coaches who's praised by players retired and playing, and a team with such a storied franchise with 17 banners (the most out of any team period) can not seem to get any respect at all not even in their homecourt.

The Nets made 9 more 3s than the C's. We're getting killed from deep.

As they say its all about the matchups. Many nights in nba the teams with most matchup advantages wins. None of which favored the Celtics against the Nets. Not even the point guard one. Brilliant tact by Nets putting bigger Joe Johnson on Rondo thus neutralizing him. I would loved to see this  lineup tonight.

Rondo
Green
Pierce
Garnett
Darko  :'( :'( :'(

Still I can't see Nets beating the Celtics in a 7 game series. By then all the wrinkles will be ironed out

@ESPNForsberg
Doc Rivers comes out swinging … at his own team. Calls his squad “soft” and says Rondo dust-up wasn’t right form of toughness.

Love Doc but he's not without some blame.
