Ideally, Green would be that guy, but so far he's still struggling a bit to do well in defensive rotations.

Unless Green figures out how to play tough D, Pierce is our only bigger wing defender to check bigger scoring wings.

Who else is going to guard the other teams best player?

Last night Terry had to guard Wallace. It was either guard Wallace and pray or guard Johnson and get pummeled. There are a lot of great SFs in the league. That happens to be Pierces position so he is going to be guarding them.
I'm surprised they didn't start Lee for matchup reasons. Oh well.
