  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I don't for the life of me understand where all these "get Jason Smith" threads are coming from.

JASON SMITH IS A SCRUB!

[dang] straight -- he is a third string PF/C. Not a solution to anything.

He would certainly give us a little bit of something. I'd say he'll give us more that what Sully is giving us at Center (dont get me wrong, Im not trading him for Sully, I just think that he'll give us more that what Sully is doing right now). And for what? Jason Collins and something... Cmon now.

But we go back to the same problem. Doc won't play him. He hates 7 footers now.

Sadly, I don't see it. Soon to be 24 year old rookie 2nd rd draft picks don't often materialize into superstars.

Tell it to Manu Ginobli. There have been a number of second round picks who became all stars.  Does it really matter all that much that K-Jo is 24 as a rookie instead of 22, like Mike Finley, or Stephen Jackson.  How about Bruce Bowen, not a superstar, or even an all star, but a very solid player who stuck in the league at age 25 after not being drafted.

It doesn't matter where you are picked or how old you may be.  IF K-Jo has NBA skills and a good motor, he'll play in the NBA.  I think he does, by the way, and would like to see him get a few minutes and maybe prove himself, like the other Ainge second round picks - Gomes, Powe, and BBD.

Not to rain on your parade, but this from RealGM:

"The Lakers' number one target is believed to be Ryan Anderson from the Hornets, but he is considered virtually untouchable."

The Lakers GM knows talent... Danny will be a fool if he doesn't acquire Ryan Anderson before anyone else does. He's a valuable asset to a contender.  Virtually Untouchable I think not. The Lakers don't have the right piece to trade for him. Pau? they already have davis, & Pau doesn't want to play center + he's much older.

The celtics could trade youngs & picks.

Jeff Green, Fab Melo, Sully & Draft picks...etc
