Not impressed. Way too small of a sample size. O'Neal had plenty opportunities here in Boston to prove himself (especially after the Perk trade) and did nothing.
He was always capable of this with us. He had some good games here, and played great defense pretty consistently. He was just always playing with an injury. In fact he's two years removed from averaging those numbers over an entire season, so I don't know what you're talking about with this year's small sample size.
And I have no clue what you're talking about with the "plenty of opportunities here in Boston." How does that work when he was never healthy?
After Perk got traded in February '11 and Jermaine came back that season, just before the playoffs, he was the starting center. He was the starting center in the Knicks and Heat series in '11 playoffs before getting bounced by Miami. In 2011-12 season, once again, O'Neal was the starting center before he went down with another injury and they moved KG to C and Bass to starting PF. In that time between the end of '10/11 season and the beginning of 11/12 season, O'Neal was given the chance of being a starting center and didn't really do anything memorable (except when he stood right in front of Lebron in that Sunday afternoon game and got under his skin.) I wanted to see Jermaine succeed here as well. However, injuries or not, when a player's performance on the court isn't great, it's hard to say he did well or "would've done well if it wasn't for injuries."

When Jermaine O'neal took a charge it was like a very old oak tree being cut down.....Slow, depressing and pointless.
Dude cant move. These stats are an aberration.

He was less than worthless here, that ship has sailed, Doc and Danny would never take him back even with those numbers because he quit on the team.

He was injured on our team and never bought into Doc's system.
He's putting up ok numbers on a 7-13 team.
Doc's Celtics are all about guys buying into roles and playing them to the best of their ability. JO didn't do that here.

no one is ever healthy when playing in Boston. I saw oNeal , and I saw him doing his standing around on defense as usual. His offense has picked up His wrist is better and he is hitting his shots. His game is still "LAZY" and is in slow motion. He drags around like a lump of coal. No thanks he can stay out of Boston

Good for JO for getting together a string of healthy games. Ive always liked the guy, he always got a terrible wrap in Boston because he was so injury plauged. The dude could always play. He needed to move on from Boston.

Phoenix training staff doing it again.... If Rondo and the Big 3 had played for Phoenix then they might have won three titles

I miss the O'Neal Brothers...Mostly a healthy Shaq though. But for real, a HEALTHY center rotation of Perk, JO, and Shaq? We're talking like five titles.

Phoenix should sign him to an extension so he can get back to playing when he feels like playing.
