only played five games before needing surgery.

Can someone please help him find a new career or passion? It is sad to see his knee fall to pieces.  It is only going to make it worse now and in the future.

I thought I read somewhere here or online that doctors were concerned about his quality of life if he kept trying to play pro-basketball.

Sad.

No insurance or tax payer should have to cover anything knee related for him if he's going to go against doctor advice. Greg Oden....did you hear that?  He had a good run, but the run is over

I haven't heard the Doctors say the same thing about Oden.  Wouldn't surprise me, but...

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Too bad.
Interesting to look back at that draft and see that, in retrospect, Rajon Rondo was the best guard taken.  One could even make an argument Rondo was the best player taken in that draft.
Celtics fan for life.

I don't thin Roy is going to the free clinic for surgery.  Your precious tax dollar is protected.  FYI, Roy has paid more money in federal income tax than what it would cost for him to have one thousand knee surgeries on the taxpayer's dime.
