Collins is horrific offensively, and poor at rebounding. His only role on the team is to stop opposing post centers.
Last night, his job was to slow down Brook Lopez. He failed in that regard in the 1st quarter -- Lopez scored 6 points in about 3 minutes -- but played solid defense in the 2nd.

I think he'll definitely be the first to go if the C's need to open a roster spot for somebody. But right now, who else is out there? I guess Kenyon Martin still doesn't have a team, but I assume there's a reason for that.

What did we expect from him again? A defensive 7 footer?
Put me in there. At 5'10, at least when I throw the elbows around they would've taken out Lopez' kidneys. That's more likely to alter his shot than Collins standing motionless with his hands up while Lopez shot over or around him.
