Just the latest in a series of events showcasing Celtics pride, in my opinion. Terry wanting to come here, Green never considering anywhere else, Lee coming for less money, Scal turning down a roster spot on another team.

Makes you think that the organization is in good hands and is being run well.

who knew...years ago before Ray Allen joined the Celtics, I remember he and Keyon had a fight. And I always thought that Ray Allen was the more classier guy and probably the more loyal guy. Boy am I wrong

I'm really glad this happened. Smart guy, great presence and good basketball mind. Also anything that keeps Rondo playing like he was last season is good in my book.

These Celtics players have a lot of wisdom surrounding them. Tommy H was a legendary head coach and player, Scal was responsible for Rondo going off one night in the playoffs last year and turned down a coaching gig with the Bulls. Danny is a former nba coach and player. Ty Lue, and now Dooling.

Lot of wisdom, in addition to Doc.

Given how the O looks without Rondo at the helm, it makes you wonder. Not that Dooling (whom I have a lot of respect for)is that great a facilitator.

I know (and hope) that it's unlikely, but you never know.

Yes  GREAT NEWS!! , having someone devoted all in to a team and its players can't be a bad thing.

  If he has Rondos ear and help Doc "MANAGE" the personalities , keep EVERYONE on the Same page.

Doc probally needs to KNOW what the true feelings on the team are , and somebody to head off "playing  time" problems, trade rumors , ect , ect ... Dooling is going to baby sit the team .  Keep them all pointed in the same direction.

With so many GOOD players on one team , everybody thinks they should be playing or starting .  Dooling will be a COOL HEAD in defusing tense situations and building team cohesion.

I predict the Celtics will start playing better with Dooling keeping the bench energized and READY to PLAY !!
