Would be a great addition to the locker room but where would he find minutes. Id cut Collins for Martin especially if Doc is going to keep Collins on the bench all year.
And i could be wrong but can't we use the vet minimum on any amount of players? Its not like the MLE or LLE exceptions where you only get one. Arent Barbosa, Darko, and Collins all on vet mins?

There is no limit on how many vet minimums we can use, although we might be at risk of paying a luxury tax, I'm not sure, and yes, we would have to cut someone as well.

It wouldn't go over well with future FA targets and their agents if we cut a vet who took a low salary and a deep bench role to come to play for us. We also will need Collins if we face the Lakers in the finals. I would cut Kris Joseph and sign KMart if we can still be under the luxury tax.

Thing is, we already have a big who could spell KG, protect the rim, and grab a few rebounds—Darko—but Doc seems to not want to play him.

Can we get him at this point?
The only player we can cut without paying his whole year's salary is Joseph.
How close are we to the hard cap level we can not go over this year because we used our full MLE to sign someone?
Maybe Roy or someone with excellent knowledge of the numbers can help us out with that for a TP or 2.

How much better is Martin than Wilcox at this point? Defensively or otherwise?

Darko should walk on his knees around Doc and register himself as a 6' 6 SF if he wants to get playing time.

I believe not much if Wilcox is healthy. The thing is that he's rarely healthy. Martin has the right attitude and would be a great presence to have on the team though.

I kind of see what youre saying but don't think anybody was blowing up Collins agent or he took a paycut. If we didnt sign him he probably wouldn't even be in the league.
