In my eyes it's very simple. He deserves to be treated like any other guy on the "away" team. No more. No less. Let the Boston fans do the talking for the organization. If he's cheered so be it. If he's booed then he earned it and deserves it.

Please don't bungle this opportunity for the fans voice to be heard ownership. Let us collectively speak for the franchise. Silence is just as classy in this situation as some corny contrived video highlight.

I agree with this. He plays for the other team now. Treat him like just another player.

hopefully it's just highlights of games against Miami :)

I agree with this. I don't see any reason for a video, otherwise. Fine, I get that he did good things for this franchise, but it is going to be a little uncomfortable watching a tribute video with everyone booing.

Heck, the stores in the TD Garden are selling Ray's jersey shirts for $5 and there were still a whole bunch of them the last preseason game I went to.

Maybe when he returns after he retires, but not so soon.

As a season ticket holder, this does not please me.

Too bad the guy who stiffed us for Miami has no class.

Nice of Boston to show a little class to the situation after how they treated him during his tenure with the Celtics.

I know Ray has said some stupid things, but I really don't understand everyone's overreaction.

He did what he wanted to do. The Celtics reloaded and are better now and in the future than if he had stayed. I have no problem cheering for him during the video highlight, and even hoping that he has a good season, but also hoping that he goes ice cold and the Heat lose every game to the Celtics this season and post-season.

It's approriate for the Celtics who have a well earned reputation for class.  He should be applauded for his contribution to #17 by the fans and he should be treated like any other opponent thereafter.

When you give into hate, you've lost.

seeing him standing next to a smug Pat Riley was like seeing Luke Skywalker join the emperor and go over fully to the dark side, except that Luke in this scenario is old.

I believe our team is better with Terry, Lee and more PT for Bradley, and the Heat are better with Ray. It just would have been great if he went anywhere else but miami or LA.
