For somebody who would know better than me:  has Biyombo progressed at all since he was drafted?
I have barely seen the Bobcats this season but I thought Biyombo was gradually improving throughout his rookie season.

He was very raw - on both ends of the court, not just offensively but defensively too. Bad fundamentals and didn't know how to play against players who were such more bigger than him. As a grossly undersized center at 6-9, it was always very likely to take Biyombo a lot longer than most players to learn how to be effective defensively against players at his position.

I think Biyombo would be further along if he could play PF alongside a skilled offensive center. Play against guys his own size while he learns the finer points of playing defense. Someone like Big Z who could nail jump-shots and allow Biyombo to hang around the basket offensively.Without that, it's going to be a longer road for Biyombo.

I think he is still 2-3 years away from being an impact defender. Next year, I'd expect him to become an average defensive player (he is still below average to my eye) and the year after an above average one and hopefully a really strong defensive player from thereafter.

Biyombo is supposed to have a terrific work ethic. Combine that with elite physical talent and an excellent mental disposition (loves defense, rebounding, dirty work in the paint) and I think there is a nice foundation there to work with. I am still optimistic about him.

I think LA needs to bench Pau Gasol and move away from lineups that have all four stars on the court at the same time.

Try to have combinations with three of their stars on the floor as much as possible with at least two on the floor together at other moments. Preferably Nash/Gasol or Nash/Dwight because they'll involved their teammates.

I thought they were on the right track moving Artest to power forward and putting another shooter on the floor instead Pau Gasol while Pau was out injured. They should go back to that. Use Pau as a sixth man in a sort of late career Kevin McHale type role.

Ty Lawson's speed in the open court is incredible. Coast to coast for what should be a game winning basket. I wish Rondo would do that more often.

I wish Dwight would learn how to block a shot and direct it in play and to a teammate.

That loose block just cost them a chance at getting to overtime. Passed it straight to Gallo in the corner. Three pointer to kill the game.

Man if the Lakers keep digging they're going to find themselves scrapping to make the playoffs as a bottom two seed. Much tougher playoff race out west than in the east.

What a boobie prize though for a 1/2 seed to get the Lakers though.

Clippers/Lakers in round one would be entertaining.

I wish teams like Washington would be consistent. It sucks to watch teams lose night in and out only to turn it up when a good team comes into town.

Im sure someone could find it but I've heard that Howard has an extremely low percentage of his blocks creating turnovers. He's def more interested in the highlight block as opposed to the bill Russell block

Dwight does it intentionally. He tries to block shots out of bounds on purpose.

Dwight says he does to intimidate people.
