Kobe blowing by Gerald Wallace with ease. Lousy defense.
That Wallace contract looks like the worst of the off-season right now.

Man to think that supposedly they potentially could have had Pierce instead on his current contract...

No kidding.  Nets would be a legit contender in the East, Celtics would have Drummond, Barnes, or whatever Ainge got for trading Rondo after drafting Lillard.

At least Jeff Green is clearly not the worst contract of the off-season anymore, though!
Why do you think Ainge would have traded Rondo for another draft pick? I don't see what any of the other teams in the top 10 would have traded for Rondo necessarily.

I think he'd have taken either Drummond or Barnes instead.

"One of the issues that I have is that neither Darrell or Ed (Davis) are fives. We don't have another big guy. We weren't able to play big and have two bigger people across the board because we don't have a bigger guy to put in the game."

In other words, Hollins no longer had Mo Speights or Hamed Haddadi because they were traded away. Did Hollins mean it as a shot?

It almost doesn't matter, honestly. When the head coach spends part of his press conference lamenting what he no longer has on his roster, that's not a good sign.

Chris Andersen moving well on defense again. Showing good quickness and mobility.

I have no idea why Danny Ainge didn't think this guy couldn't help the Celtics.

Sorry, I guess I constructed my sentence badly.

What I meant is that we'd have had the #6 pick, with which I assume Ainge would have selected Barnes, Drummond, or perhaps Lillard.

If he had selected Lillard, I'm hypothesizing that perhaps he would have traded Rondo for some other piece.  I don't know what that could have been.  Obviously not worthwhile spending too much time thinking about it in any case.

Based on what we heard around the draft last summer, though, I'm pretty sure Ainge would have taken Barnes.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Ainge doesn't pick from small schools much... I doubt he would have picked Lillz

It'll be interesting to see how Chicago's D holds up in Denver.

Rare chance for me to watch Denver, since stupid NBA league pass thinks I'm in Denver's home market for some reason.....

Yeah so far its been more Chicago's type of game.

Going small might spark the Nuggets here though.

And Chicago clearly isn't comfortable going small against the Nuggets.
