Can the forums put spoilers for the people who can't see it?

I don't think so.

I hope to avoid spoilers until I see it.   I have tickets Thursday at 8:00pm.  I hope it's ok.

Classic case of buying low by The Walt Disney Company when they bought Lucasfilm, with the new movie getting good reviews , I expect it to make a run at the one billion dollar mark in gate takings, could be in the 1.2 to 1.7 billion range. Lucasfilm will certainly be a valued asset in their stable, any multi billion dollar corporation could turn that asset into a profit, if people don't understand that they simply don't know what Walt Disney is all about, it will certainly be interesting over the next several years when the other two movies are released , Lucasfilm is a great asset for the Walt Disney Company, before it is all said and done could help them reach Time Warner and Sony levels.

it was probably going to break the all time record even if it was garbage.  With it getting rave reviews, there's no way it doesn't smash every record.

My guess is that the next movie will be even better. I think Rian Johnson ("Looper") is a great director... And I have to guess episode 7 is a lot of set-up.

Reviews don't really mean much to me.

Reviews I've read don't contain any real spoilers.  Sounds like Abrams tried very hard to mirror the original films, but there's enough that's new in the film to make it fun for everyone.

I think I'm most excited about seeing Adam Driver's character.  Really smart casting on that one.  Maybe this is just me being sexist, but I thought he was the most compelling actor, by far, in Girls.

Also I like that both of the main guys from Ex Machina made it into the film.  Just a shame they didn't find a role for Alicia Vikander.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Funny, from I've read from people who watched it early. Abrams tried way to hard to mimic a New Hope that it felt like he was copying it.

Tentatively set to see it on Sunday.

One thing I really like is how I read that Abrams sort of went back to the old way of filmmaking with this one and went more towards real life special effects/puppets/etc... and tried not to bludgeon the thing to death with CGI.  A think all too commonplace in the prequels & filmmaking today, in general.

I'd be shocked if this thing doesn't shatter all sorts of records.

You're seeing it drunk the first time, too?
