I would imagine that there is a constant stream of inquiry and contact between NBA GM's and player agents about availability and future needs.

That said, I doubt we have the ability to be active in a significant trade of any of the guys mentioned until probably January or so.

The needs of the Celtics team may drastically change by then and there could be some real talent available. The fact that we have a bunch of potentially valuable trade pieces will become a position of strength for Danny.

I for one will not be surpised if he is active then, but not really before. None of the newer commodities is a proven value until then anyway.

Yeah.  Still seems like he's someone who could be traded.  He's still playing at an allstar level and has value to a team that wants to make a leap (like an Indiana or Utah)... and probably doesn't figure too much into our long-term plans.  Especially when we are paying a starting SF to come off the bench (Green).

I want to formally voice my opposition to trading Paul Pierce under any circumstances based purely on the fact that it would be wrong.

A trade involving the Captain would almost certainly result in some very negative JuJu befalling the organization.

We can't afford to take that risk.
