What a Saturday in college football with 1 & 2 going down.
This matchup might actually happen. ND still has to get by a possibly Matt Barkley-less USC squad while ''Bama most likely looking at Georgia in the $EC title game in 2 weeks with a ticket to the title game on the line.
Unbelievable Saturday.
ABSOLUTELY!!! Great game by Stanford. I thought it over after that second fumble but they thoroughly outplayed Oregon. And Baylor!!!! Wow. Complete destruction of KSU, who I never thought deserved their ranking. Also, go Huskers!!! Yeah I know. No national championship this year and OSU is clearly the best team in the Big 10 so even a Big 10 title is kinda hollow, but still. Love my Huskers. Go Big Red!!!

Makes you think that Ohio State is really regretting the decision to not self impose a bowl ban last year. Would be very interesting if they could actually go to a bowl game this year given just how bad their schedule is this year.

ND's defense will keep them in the game. Their front 7 is really good. How well Golson plays will determine if they can win.

This slate of BCS games is actually quite possible
NC - Notre Dame v. Georgia Fiesta - Kansas State v. Oregon Sugar - Florida v. Louisville Rose - UCLA v. Wisconsin Orange - Georgia Tech v. Kent State
If this happens I think collectively it will be the worst collection of BCS games ever with only the title and Fiesta being even remotely watchable by a casual fan.

Not that I think they'll win against either, but I think ND does match up better with either $EC team than they would if they had faced Oregon in the national title game. Styles seem to dictate that.
'Bama should be close to a double digit favorite over ND. Maybe Georgia being closer to a TD favorite.

I'm not that familiar with Georgia, but I absolutely think that Alabama will beat ND by at least 21.

Where's 'Bama?
He's projecting a "worse case scenario" for the Bowls. If Bama loses against Georgia, they most likely won't be invited to a BCS bowl, as Georgia and Florida would claim the SEC's two spots.

Exactly and it isn't most likely, Florida by finishing in the top 4 (it will finish 3rd to be exact) becomes an automatic qualifier. Thus the only other SEC team available would be the Georgia/Alabama winner who gets in as the SEC champion. And that was the worst case. This is what I actually think the bowl games will look like (which unfortunately isn't much better). NC - Notre Dame v. Alabama Fiesta - Kansas State v. Oregon Sugar - Florida v. Rutgers (though could be Louisville) Rose - Stanford v. Nebraska Orange - Florida State v. Kent State I do think Kent State beats UNI and will finish in the top 16 ahead of the Big East Champ and thus automatically qualify. If they do not then Oklahoma would slide into the Sugar Bowl dropping Rutgers (or Louisville) into the Orange against FSU. In that scenario the 5 games are all pretty solid.
