He's raw, but with a 7'6" wingspan, great athleticism, and a lot of help from Kevin, Paul and Doc. He might be a difference maker on defense. What would it take to get a guy avg. 6ppg 6rpg and 2 bpg while playing 23mpg

I'd say it'd probably take a top 7 draft pick from the 2011 draft to get him

Too raw to help this season. Asking price would be large and make the team take a step back. So they'd be losing a lot of talent in order to get a player who wouldn't help much. Very hurtful move for a win-now squad.

Actually, outside of Rondo, there is nothing Danny has to offer to net a prospect like Biyombo at this point in time.

yea he has too much potential to be traded for easily. If i had to pick a big from their team i'd pick tyrus thomas. he's like a REALLY poor mans josh smith, who everyone wants in boston.

The bobcats are not letting their, basically, one and only bright point of potential away. Even though he is raw, Im guessing that he is pretty untouchable by Bobcats standards. There would be no risk in keeping Bismack and letting him play, learn, and develop into something special for them.

TP for "untouchable by Bobcats standards".

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
We already hve Fab Melo who is as raw but taller and probably more imposing in the long run.

Pass on Bismack.

I like his game. He could be a solid starter someday. But like others have mentioned, it would not make a heck of a lot of sense for the Celtics to pursue Biyombo at this point as his growing pains would hurt this win-now squad too much.

I don't want him in Boston... in fact, I really don't want him in Boston.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

Do you really want someone rated highly by noted talent evaluator Michael Jordan?

Why would we need him? We already have solid depth at center and I really wouldn't want to waste Bradley, Sully or anyone for that guy.. He isn't bad, but this whole thing when a player plays good and we all of a sudden think he solves our problems is getting annoying, because you want to trade Rondo for Raja Bell or anyone when he plays bad, which isn't fair.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

Biyombo is, by all accounts, actually playing smart defense in addition to making impressive plays.

Can't do anything on offense, though, and it's not like you'd consider starting him. Some day he'll jump from team to team as a 2nd center and he'll have a nice career. Maybe he'll make a stop here; I definitely wouldn't be surprised. I'm thinking 2019 or so...
