at Boston Celtics (1-2) at Philadelphia 76ers (1-1) Preseason Game #4, Road Game #3 Monday, October 15, 2012 7:00 PM ET TV: NBA-TV, CSNNE, CSN-P Wells Fargo Center Probable Starting Matchups Point Guard vs Rajon Rondo vs Jrue Holiday Shooting Guard vs Jason Terry vs Royal Ivey Small Forward at Paul Pierce vs Evan Turner Power Forward at Brandon Bass vs Spencer Hawes Center at Kevin Garnett vs Kwame Brown Celtics ReservesJared Sullinger Dionte Christmas Jason Collins Micah Downs Jeff Green Kris Joseph Rob Kurz Courtney Lee Fab Melo Darko Milicic Jamar Smith Injuries Chris Wilcox (back) day to day Avery Bradley (shoulders) out Sixers Reserves Damien Wilkins Lavoy Allen Thaddeus Young Nick Young Maalik Wayns Arnett Moultrie Dan Gadzuric Jason Richardson Devin Searcy Dorell Wright InjuriesAndrew Bynum (knee) out Kwame Brown (hamstring) day to day Game Notes The Celtics begin a busy stretch of 5 games in 7 nights with this game vs the new look Philadelphia 76ers. Instead of the always hard to guard Andre Iguodala, Paul Pierce will now be matched up with Evan Turner. The Sixers prize free agent from this summer, Andrew Bynum is out indefinitely with knee problems. For the first two games, the Sixers started a twin towers front line of Spencer Hawes and Kwame Brown. Brown strained a hamstring in Sunday's practice and is day to day and may or may not play in this game. If he can't go, it's possible that Hawes may slide over to center and Lavoy Allen may start at power forward. But, as with any preseason game, it's hard to tell who will start. The Celtics' game notes project the same starting lineup as the last game, but again, in the preseason it's hard to tell until just before the game starts who will really be starting. Both teams are coming off a close loss in over time with the Celtics losing to the Knicks and the Sixers falling to the Nets. Expect Doc to once again experiment with linups and also to play the young guys a majority of the minutes. What to Watch1. The battle for the last two roster spots among Dionte Christmas, Jamar Smith, Kris Joseph, Micah Downs and Rob Kurz. 2. The battle for the starting 2 guard and the back up point guard. as well as for the starting power forward spot. 3. The chemistry among different lineups. 4. Progress in covering the pick and roll on defense.

TP FL! Thanks for the Game Post as always.
It has been reported that Kevin Garnet will not play tonight. No injury or reason given...just Doc giving KG the night off, I guess.

This game will be another good test for Sully. They have a very long front line, and it will be interesting to see how he adjusts.

I just don't want to see Jamar Smith on the court anymore.
And can Doc please start Lee over Terry? Thanks.

When I saw BB listed as a reserve, I got excited that Doc might be starting Sully.
I scrolled back, though and saw Bass listed as the starter.
Hopefully if KG isn't playing we get longer looks at Sully and Melo along with Darko.
Looking forward to tonight.

Hmm, Sullinger isn't listed in the OP. So, starting or bench?

If Andrew Bynum isn't playing , we don't need KG in the game wasting his body and risking injury. Good call by Doc.
Bet Rondo &PP doesn't play more than 15-19 minutes .
I WANT to SEE DOWNS, FAB MELO & DARKO get huge minutes. Play till they foul out.
can Sully impose some youthfull will ?
See if dat boy got game.

My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

I saved those pics last season from Football Fanatics because I really liked them. I just checked and don't see them there now.
