Love me some CHALMERS! Solves our backup point and simplifies our SG dilemma. AB/Lee is pretty solid imo

We should have dealt Ray to Miami via s/t and somehow fanagled Chalmers in the deal

If I had to do this, I wouldn't get rid of Jet, he's too clutch. Lee is young and has potential, similar shooting touch to Chalmers, but I think Lee has the edge defensively. I wouldn't want to do this because Jet can run the point well enough. With Rondo getting 35-40 mins a game, I don't think Chalmers would like those mins because I dont want him at the 2, so he'd warm the bench. Basically my point is NEVER.

I suggested that at the time, and was told by much of the board that Chalmers was just too ugly to be a Celtic.

Well, it is worth minus TPs!

Lets go ahead and trade one of the best 3pt shooters and clutch players of all time for an annoying cocker-spaniel looking backup player  ??? ??? ???

This is hands down one of the worst trade ideas ive heard on here.

geeeeeez.....

Terry is the best shooter on our team, our second best clutch scorer (and very close second at that) and the leader of our second unit - he's a guy who has built his entire career off that role.

Lee is the only guard we have over 6'2".  If we trade him for Chalmers then we have NO guards over 6'2".

Trading Terry would not be an option, and the only way I'd trade Lee is if we can get a PG and a decent sized (> 6'4") SG in return.  That's not going to happen.

Add this to the fact that Chalmers just started for a team who just won a championship...you really think he'd have any interest playing 10-15 mins for us?

He also plays for a team who happens to have no other guys at the PG position, yet are 3 deep (Wade, Allen, Cole) at SG position.

There is absolutely zero incentive for Miami to make that move and pretty much zero incentive for us to want to make it.

Only PG I can think of who may fit is a guy like Jason Kidd - an older guy who is a proven playmakers and may take less (i.e. vet min) for a chance to play for a legit contender..while he's also big/strong enough to defend 2 guards (though lacks the quickness).

There is really not a lot of opportunity there outside of the free agent market I don't think, and there aren't many options on that end either...

IF the Cs really need a PG I would try to get andre miller. Saw some of the denver games in the playoffs and hes a true PG that still has it.
