Bill Walton is writing his autobiography.  Really looking forward to this.   One of my favorite athlete's of all time.  Can't wait to read about his time with the Celtics.

He wrote one like ten years ago too.  It was very good.

I'd rate Walton's autobiography (the old one) as third overall for hoops, behind Russell's (which is the best, natch) and Kareem's.

If you are a Celtics fan and have not read Kareem's, I would recommend it. He never really got a fair shake from the media IMO.

Incidentally I saw Walton two years ago at ARCO Arena, doing guest color for a Kings/Celtics game. What a nice guy, he made a lot of time for the fans and seemed genuinely happy to be interacting with them. That's probably not a big surprise, but in this day and age it is unfortunately more the exception than the rule.

Reading a Bill Walton autobiography would be weird because I'd hear his voice in my head if I was reading it.  I love and hate hearing his voice at the same time.

He must have a book on tape or CD, right?  This guy loves talking.

I've got to read this one.

Borris, which one by Russell and which one by Kareem?
Bird's 2 were great as was Magic's.

In my opinion, nothing beats this:

Also, not technically an autobiography, but "Red & Me" by Bill Russell was just delicious.

My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.
