Where did it say you can't use somebody twice?  I must have missed that.
It's always been that way with all the Pick-A-Player games, as with the daily games and the Void Lists. From the original PAPTBG Playoff rules:

Participants can only pick from the team they are assigned to, and may only pick a player once per series.

We will re-seed after each round and follow steps from the top.
I'm truly sorry you weren't aware of that ... I tried to alert you twice, Bud. In this particular case it didn't matter, though, as Reddick ended up with nothing in that game anyway, so the result was the same.

The irony of this game is that it can change in a second, and with Crisp's RBI last night, you're only three bases away from winning, (which is easily doable).

We should probably put this in the playoff thread itself.  I read through the entire thread and made my pick since it wasnt mentioned here, I thought since Reddick didnt win that nightly matchup I could use him again.
Yeah, I'll revamp the rules and put them in the thread, and put a link at the bottom of the results page ... I just assumed everyone knew, and tried to give you a couple of head-ups. If you had known, maybe you could have changed your pick to someone who did get some bases. The way I've been playing, you'll probably end up winning anyway, so I wouldn't worry ... I'm great at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I'm going with Avila for now, but I may change my mind once I see the lineups, (which they don't usually post until like five minutes before the game starts). ;)

What happened to GreenFaith1819 and dark_lord?!?
I don't know, hopefully D_L shows for game 4. I'll take Michael Morse for the Nats next game.
Looks like dark_lord is a no-show and you'll win this series, TZT ... too bad, really, not because you'll win, but because Yoki really wanted that spot, and would've enjoyed playing against you.

** Leaders are marked in red, followers are marked in blue, and ties are marked in purple. All picks are due at the time of that game's start, and in case of a tie, the total bases difference decides the winner, if it's still a tie, then the type of hit decides, (HRs beat Triples, Triples beat Doubles, etc.), if still a tie, then RBIs decide. Missed picks, late picks, and DNPs, will result in a zero score, or minus one base if opponent gets a zero. Thanks to everyone for playing/helping this year, we hope to see you again next season, and try to bring someone new with you ... the more the merrier! **

A miracle, Redz?  Really?  That's all you had to do was ask?  I am impressed.  (Next time I will try that myself!)

Really, congratulations on the win...it was fun...and the fat lady took her time breaking into song...close, too.

** Congratulations to Redz, who wins a very close NLDS series 2.5/2.5, +0 bases, (10 bases each) , on a type-of-hit tie-breaker, and to his very formidable and worthy opponent, ThirstyBoots18, for a great season and the closest decision we've had in PAPTBG to this point ... thanks for all your help this season and for being the consumate good sport! (TPs to both) Redz moves on to the next round and either the American League or National League Championship Series! **

Pretty amazing, really, it basically came down to Redz's extra double ... closest series we've had yet, and what makes it exciting. You just never know in this game. ;)

 ;D

best part is I found through this!

i had no clue the game was this afternoon

rough loss for the Reds (if not Redz)

The series really turned on Rolen's error.  plus they missed Cueto.

Fun series TB.
Yup

** Congratulations to 33-00-32, who wins his NLDS series 3/1, +4 bases, and to dark_lord for participating this year ... thanks and TPs to both. 33-00-32 moves on to the next round and either the American League or National League Championship Series, and we hope to see dark_lord in the spring for PAPTBG 2013! **

** Congratulations to Bahku, who wins a very close ALDS series 2.5/2.5, +1 base, and to Rondo2287 for having a great series and agreeing at a moment's notice to participate in the playoffs ... I greatly appreciate it, my friend, (TP). Bahku moves on to the next round and either the American League or National League Championship Series, and we hope to see Rondo2287 in the spring for PAPTBG 2013! **

Re-Seeding is as follows:

1 )  Bahku  ( choice of league and team )

2 )  33-00-32  ( choice of teams from remaining league )

3 )  SlamTheKing

4 )  Redz

The American League Championship Series starts on Saturday the 13th, the National League Championship Series starts on Sunday the 14th ... I will try to make my choice of league and team sometime later today, so everyone else will have time to make their choices as well. Matchups are as follows:

1 )  Bahku          vs          4 )  Redz

2 )  33-00-32          vs          3 )  SlamTheKing

Thanks to all those who have been eliminated for your participation this year, and good luck to everyone else in their respective pennant races!
