Now that I get to watch it...Cuse is pretty terribly coached, even though I'm no expert at organized ball. Even on the offensive end.

But, man, Kris Joseph fell a lot this draft in my opinion. He could have went far earlier.

And Sully didn't seem to have problems finishing over bigger defenders in this game from what I saw. He flips it over the bigger guy. It looks clumsy but it seems effective.

Wonder how Fab Melo would fare in a half decently coached team. This Cuse offense is just one on one...and the summer league is just the darn shot jackers trying to show off their stuffs.

Edit 2: KJ in a decent system without all that isolation would totally, totally help him. He plays within himself a lot...if he gains a little strength he'd be great...even without he's good.

nicholson weighs 50 pounds less and moves slighlty better. No way is nicholson a better rebounder. Even nicholson would laugh at that. Nicholson is prob a better jumpshooter, but not by much, and sullinger was stuck down low all the time so he didnt get to showcase or refine it like nicholson did.

Not even really close. Magic couldnt have gotten a worse deal for howard either.

I watched probably 16+ Saint Bonaventure games last year and around 10 OSU games including the tourny games.

Nicholson is a better shooter, rebounder and more athletic.  He is also a much better shot blocker.

Nicholson is mostly a stretch 4 at the next level, regardless of how adequate a rebounder he was in the mighty a10.

I guess we will have to see.  Though he was picked ahead of Sullinger in the summer league "All league" teams.

There were several times every game where SBU was playing a zone, boxed out the other teams center and allowed one of the smaller forwards or guards to come in and snag the rebounds.  There are many things to look at other than college stats which are far from perfect. 

Also because Nicholson was challenging many shots and altering them it put him in a position where he couldnt possibly get the rebound.  Something that Sullinger didnt have happen as often.

Anyone who thinks Danny would have not taken Nicholson over Sulinger is way off. Sulinger and Joseph both had mediocre tournaments; but what surprises me is that Joseph was not the highly touted all year. Reminds me of a raw Pierce without the nuanced game.

Sullinger's game translates much more safely to the NBA. Nicholson weighs the same as Jeff Green, with way less athleticism.

It will be interesting to watch this comparison through the years, but the only possible reason Danny might have drafted Nicholson would be because of Sullinger's back questions.

Otherwise, Sullinger is clearly the superior prospect, because of his ability to bang down low every night and to play center as well as PF.

Nicholson might make a nice stretch 4, but he's not going to be able to establish position down low very well at all at the NBA level. Sullinger can move just about anybody in the NBA, especially because he has that low center of balance.

Nicholson won't be able to back guys down, and he'll get backed down himself quite easily by every non-stretch PF and center in the league.
Should be a great spot up shooter though, better than Sullinger.
