Like others have said, I'd rather bring in a SG for depth like Peaches or TMac.  I doubt they'd be willing to accept a role that would lead to very few minutes, but a boy can dream, can't he?

I'm not happy about it, but I don't see how the answer is not Fisher

Dooling. Let him spend the next 6 months doing whatever it is he wants to do.

Then, a la PJ Brown, bring him back for the stretch drive.

If he passes, there will be veteran buyouts aplenty to pick from, I'm sure.

Fisher should never wear the green jersey.

Accept a role? Both of these guys will likely be out of the league next season, and with a good reason.

Fisher has such a long history with the Lakers, including a long history of a dislike for us that I'd have lingering suspicions about which team he'd be loyal to if we played them in the Finals.

avery bradley. He's a year older, way more confident, and he doesnt need to be a big playmaker.

Just guarding opposing pgs is more important than passing skills, because there are so many hyper-athletic point guards. Bradley is quite possibly the best defensive pg in the league, and can contain deron w, jwall, the teagues, drose, cpaul, kirving, rwestbrook, jlin, dlillard, tevans, and every other guy you can think of.

Arroyo or jterry of dfisher will get smoke by the young guys on that list.

So you put bradley there and give him help, like terry at the two or pierce at 3 or kg at 4 or even sully at 4 or 5. Cs have quite a few good creators and passers.

Bradley also showed flashes of being a good scoring pg. Hes an elite athlete with a growing bag of tricks.

Vote for:
Derek Fisher, Jonny Flynn, Mike Bibby, or Carlos Arroyo?
where's the "none of the above" option?

why?  did they change the question to "who's the most obnoxious player from the Laker titles after Kobe?"

  • Not 1...not 2...not 3...not 4...BUT 17
Jonny Flynn really sucks. I watched him in Houston and all he did was dribble and turn the ball over. Out of all 4 players in the poll, I'd have to go with Mike Bibby
Celtics fan in Houston.

T-mac won't accept a role for a few minutes a game, it's what he needs. Dude's almost hobbled.

BUT I'll take that hobbled T-Mac, for he can shoot, can play a solid PG and the more depth the better.

Although, I'd take my chances with Xmas. He has ball handling skills. I have a good feeling about him.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Johnny Flynn. Speed and athleticism. Get something out of him that the T Wolves could never get and make him learn. Rondo teaching him how to run a team would be another huge upside signing.
He can handle the ball fine and has blazing speed. Better version of Nate Robinson that doesn't chuck every open chance he gets.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
