I know Eja is looking to  collect as many picks as he can, but the commish just took him behind the shed. Great great trade for Lucky.

Couldn't agree more...that trade is atrocious for Eja.

But, as is the case, nicely done by Lucky.

Couldn't this deal wait until after my week one matchup with the commish?

My only observations here are that the players I have gotten people are already asking about and nobody else seemed to offer anything close.

So barefaced....when can we expect to see you in the points league? Show us how it's done.

This trade is fairly equal IMO. Some contending GMs may not like it since the commish landed two talented bigs, but since Eja is rebuilding a new roster, he received pretty decent value in return.

IMO, these players are just filler:

E'Twaun
Biedrins
Watson
Sef

Lucky received:
Gasol - Best player in the deal
Lee - Second best player in the deal
Flotsam
Jetsam

Eja received:
Wes Matthews - 14pts 2-3s per game SG
Jeff Taylor - He's better than you think
McGee - Shot blocking knuckhead. He'll be better this season than last.
Hawes - In line for a huge season with the Sixers. A 7 footer who can hit 3s
Lucky's 2014 #1 - Likely somewhere between #11-#15 in a great draft
Lucky's #2 - low to mid 30s.

This is a win for Lucky, who is trying to make the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

This is a win for Eja who landed a bunch of tradeable assets. Hawes, McGee, and Matthews may all have 1st round pick value trade value at the deadline.

Props & TPs to both GMs. I like the action!

Mk

Estimation of Sef aside (I think he's fantasy relevant in terms of 3s and steals), I see it the way MK does.

Eja is living up to the gambler moniker; he's betting on improvements from McGee and Hawes this season, continued production from Wes, a leap from Taylor, and spinning my picks into gold.

Biedrins will be hitting the waiver wire; I've told him not to bother getting on the plane to Luckyville. Not sure yet if I'll hold onto Moore or CJ.

HP, you've really slimmed down lately. Looking good, my friend.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

I agree with this. Both teams got what they wanted out of the deal, and in terms of overall impact it's even. Lucky did better to consolidate depth, which you want to do if you're contending, and Eja did better to maximize his opportunities for growth, which you want to do if you're rebuilding. I'm on board with this one.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I lack the kind of experience you have when it comes to fantasy sports. Wasn't trying to show you or others how trades work (I've been a part of many horrendous ones myself) but I feel that you could have gotten more for those players. Just my two cents.

Looking to move Gortat or Blatche + YH's second round pick for a SF.

Andre Miller, Earl Clark and Alan Anderson can be had as fillers in any trade.
