Those jerseys comprise the worst collection of NBA uniforms I've ever seen. I never put it together before that these were all from the '90s, but that's definitely an entire decade that you can just throw out in regards to uniform quality. Somebody on this thread used the word "garish" to describe the large majority of these jerseys, and I think that's accurate. I'd also add "amateurish."
First, the so-so:
Sacramento: the best of the bunch in my opinion, and actually pretty good overall; good color scheme, and the dual color blocks and underarm checkerboard pattern combine to make something that's unique but not harmful to the eyes
Chicago and Indiana: a classy look, but this isn't America's pastime, and pinstripes don't cut it visually on basketball unis
The downright awful:
Cleveland: the worst in its sordid uniform history.
Toronto: is this a pro sports jersey or the logo for a children's show about dinosaurs?
Houston: threw away a perfectly good design AND color scheme for what looks like the work of a certified computer geek (no offense meant to all you computer geeks, but stick to what you do well)
Utah: threw away a perfectly good design AND color scheme for what looks like the work of the Utah Bureau of Tourism (no offense meant to all you UBT personnel, but stick to what you do well)
Milwaukee: looks like the work of the local screenprinter
Philly: Reminds me of that Globetrotters knockoff known as the Harlem Rockets
Miami: Never liked the stripe down only one side—seems unbalanced (though I wish the team was as bad as it was when it had that jersey)
Suns: looks like they mashed together two color schemes, one bright and one dark; a word to the Suns: don't try being San Antonio AND Phoenix, just be Phoenix
Atlanta: is this a jersey or just one giant graphic? this jersey doesn't compare to the Dominique-era unis, which should NEVER have been ditched
