Hassan Whiteside isn't on the list.  He just got released by SAC to sign Aaron Brooks on July 16th.  The guy blocks shots.

Isn't Robin Lopez a restricted free agent?

Although, I don't think the BAE could possibly land him, so it's a moot point.

Also, could Kenyon Martin play C? It seems he logged some minutes there for the Clippers last season.

I believe Ainge said the Celtics need to find 1 more. If they face a Howard /Bynum team they're gonna someone big. I'd love Stiemsma to take a hometown discount with the BAE. But I'd understand if he left for even a little more money.

I'm guessing Jordan Hill will be out of range financially. I like his game, as a backup, compared to the rest of the list.

Agree. He's got some shortcomings as a player but overall he'd be a great pick-up for us, especially since he was a tremendous rebounder last year and we need all the help that we can get in that department.  Reports are that the Lakers want to bring him back but I'm not sure if they have his bird rights since they traded for him mid-season last year. Also I'm not sure what kind of money they can offer since I believe they're over the cap. Perhaps someone who is way smarter than I am can tell me the answer on that.

I made a thread about Hill a few days ago and it was immediately dismissed as impossible by a few posters who said that he was out of our price range.  I dunno, I haven't seen his name in practically any rumors which leads me to believe that his services aren't in that high of a demand.  He also only made $2.9 million last year and we still have the BAE available which is within reasonable striking distance of that figure.

He was 9th in the entire league in Rebound Rate last season btw and averaged 5 pts & 5 rbs in only 14 minutes.  I'd love to see the C's make a play for him.

Martin is an undersized 4. The C's have plenty of those already. I'd want a big tank to bang with Bynum, Howard, Marc Gasol, etc.

Even though Ben Wallace is short for a center, he has the strength to play center for 10-15 mins per game. I wonder how he fairs against the elite centers these days.

Sorry my mistake. He had a player option to terminate this summer. But he's not walking away from that last year of big money in CHA.

Looking at that list makes me want to explore D-Leaguer and two-time Ivy League DPOY Jeff Foote, who I believe was most recently on the Nets summer league team in Orlando.

Sign Oden.  That would bring everything full circle.

I realize he might not even play again, but I honestly think if healthy he could actually still be a major force.
