I believe Ainge said the Celtics need to find 1 more. If they face a Howard /Bynum team they're gonna someone big. I'd love Stiemsma to take a hometown discount with the BAE. But I'd understand if he left for even a little more money.

I'm guessing Jordan Hill will be out of range financially. I like his game, as a backup, compared to the rest of the list.

Id suggest, that is all they need out of a BAE signed center, the ability to matchup against the few true elite centers in the league, grind defense and foul 6 times.

Doc said in one of those summer league interviews that KG doesnt necessarily like playing 5, but will continue to do so.  Against Miami, with Bosh at the 5 thats fine.  Thats not gonna fly for 30-35 minutes a game against Howard, Bynum, etc.

Pryzbilla/Chris Anderson/Jason Collins/Nazr

In that order. Ben Wallace would be #1 if Danny and Doc could talk him out of retirement. 10-15 min a game from Ben Wallace would be great.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
I like Ben Wallace - Do you think we can get him and someone else as well? Give him a chance to win another ring, and he's an great post defender.

Okur, Milicic, and the Bird man are also on my wishlist.

I heard Nazr was very close to signing with Brooklyn.

Dan Gadzuric was waived by Portland. I think he'd be a capable backup C.

I'm intrigued by Wallace too.  Someone mentioned him in another thread, and I kinda rolled my eyes, forgetting that he actually played 62 games (of 66 games) for Detroit, starting 11 games.

He did only put up 1.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg, and .8 bpg; however, that was only over 15.8 minutes per game.

If you convert that to a 36 mpg average, that turns into 3.1/9.9/1.9, which isn't that far off his average his last year in Detroit ('05-06) where he averaged 7.4/11.5/2.3 over 36 mpg.

That's not bad for a guy who would probably be third on the depth chart behind Garnett and Wilcox and would only have to play a few minutes a game at best unless someone got hurt.

Looking at that list, I now understand why Minny is supposedly going to give Stiemsma $3 mil a year.

I really dont see the point of signing any other center or big man. If its just for depth that makes sense but I feel like the big man rotation is set with Wilcox, KG, Bass, and Sullinger.

Injuries, depth, poor play, you name it.

Think Hill is not available for the BAE

Next Choice would be Joel, I would offer the BAE.

with Birdman, innocent till proven guilty i guess, although I am skeptical that the police could really be dupped by a crazed fan. I have little experience of the US justice system except watching episodes of law and order. But i would find it strange that they could be really dupped like that. They would need some language in the contract, nulling the contract if he is charged at the min.

Wouldn't mind Turiaf, I offer a little extra that the BAE provides than what the cHeat couldn't offer

The rest with Vet Min

Starting with Battie, as he can hit free throws, Ben can't

wouldn't be against

Wallace
Haddadi
Nazr (think his going to the Nets)

Think Diop is still on the bobcats?
