Looking to me like the three rooks and Moore might be the keepers from this batch.  (But if Moore goes in a trade, no big loss.)

Goose eggs on SW's stat line in eight minutes, except for one PF.

Cant understand how someone like Johnson could dominate the NCAA and suck SO MUCH at the summer league?
I expected alot more from this guy given that this is only summerleague

He doesn't have a role, or know it yet.  He was the GUY at Purdue.  He's not gonna be that in the league.  He has to know that he will make his bread a) playing defense b) getting rebounds c) running the break.  Hit the open shots if you are wide open, otherwise pass the ball.

The Nets have someone named "Famous" on their squad.

Never heard of him.

I will say, that in terms of him fitting in on the team in the short term, this might actually be a blessing in disguise.  While it'd be nice to see him dominate and potentially have star potential, keep in mind that the likes of Joe Forte, Kedrick Brown, and Jerome Moiso all dominated in summer league play.

Only a small percent of the league is asked to take over games and create their own shot.  The bread and butter for most role players is converting easy baskets.  That's what made the likes of Eddie House, James Posey, and (now) Brandon Bass so successful.

If JJJ wants to contribute this year, shooting the midrange jumper, playing smart defense, and rebounding is probably the right way.  Jacking up crazy shots like Jonathan Gibson did yesterday likely is not.

Melo can't get blocks but boy that kid is all over every shot on the inside. Love it.

Melo reminds me of Steve Neal being signed by Belichick as a former wrestler.

Neal was a better story, though, as an undrafted rookie FA who went on to win three Superbowls with the Pats.

Joseph has looked really good all around.  Good passer, good shooter, defense.  Danny with possibly another gem in the 2nd round.
