the step here is to sign krstic to a short term deal maybe 2 years 10 mill. If you give him a one year deal he'll have trade veto rights i think.

First step is actually to sign Wilcox.  He is a need to solidify the big man rotation.

Next step is wing 2/3 depth.  With Ray gone, I would like Pietrus.  He can hit the 3 ball.

Why would Mayo do that?  Answer he wouldn't and neither would Memphis.  They (Memphis) could get alot more plus they don't need a backup big man.  They just resigned Speights. Also the Pacers can offer more money than us.

The trade has to make sense for both teams and neither suggestion you make does for either Philly or Memphis...

That's a logjam of bigs....Nenad sounds like a long-shot at this point....if they did indeed sign him, since they can't S&T, then keep him, and use the bi-annual (assuming we have it) to sign another wing.

Also, do we have Bird rights for Pietrus?  If so, then that would seem an obvious signing.

The problem with Ray turning us down, and not involving him in a trade is that we are left with zip.....
