I suspect Charlotte is trying the mimic the Tampa Bay Rays model when they got rid of the "Devil."

Tampa made such a substantial leap following the name change, as it symbilized new ownership, a new GM, and a new organizational philosophy.

If you have the chance to read Jonah Keri's book "The extra 2%" it's a great chronicle of the transition.

Sorry, Charlotte—no changes in color scheme, nickname, or roster changes the fact that you shouldn't have an NBA team.

I also think OKC is in desperate need of a change in color scheme and unis, and won't win a title until it does.
