looks like BBD is waiting for his celebration burger in that pic ;)

Great pics though, could be a long time until we see that again...

Goosebumps. I live in Portugal so I had to stay up until 3:00am to experience that feeling, watching a Celtics championship. And it was so special. That was a perfect season. Everything.

Best part about Paul drenching Doc in Gatorade, to my memory there was still time on the clock. Good stuff.

funny how that first one just made you want the 2nd one that much more.. either way we should be happy, most NBA fans never get to experience that, ever.

If you had to pick a year to win a title... which would it be?  2008, 2010 or 2012?

2008 was incredible considering it had been about a year prior that pretty much every Celtic fan (the few of us that were actually following the team) hit rock bottom.  Ending up with the 5th pick in the Oden/Durant draft at the time was very possibly the biggest gut punch I've ever taken while following a sports team.  For a moment, everything felt hopeless.  We were going to be mediocre indefinitely.  No franchise player to save us.  Then the Ray Allen trade, at the time, felt like Danny Ainge was making trades from a nut house.  Yeah... a 32 year old shooting guard with gimpy ankles oughta solve our problem (rolls eyes).  Felt like Ainge was just trying to keep his job.  Absolutely HATED that trade at the time.  I went from depressed/hopeless to just being angry.  Then the savior, KG came... I blinked and we were champions.

It was a magical season.  It was a special season.  It was an improbable season.  Unbelievable turn of events.  My happiest moment as a sports fan.  What a crazy year... and against the Lakers.

But then of course the Lakers won it in 2009...

And then they avenged us in 2010 when we choked away a 3-2 lead and choked away a 4th quarter lead in game 7.   Would you have rather lossed the the Lakers in 2008 and then won in 2012?

Keep in mind in 2008 everything was still new.  The team still sorta felt thrown together.  Would you have rather lost in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011... then finally after 5 hard fought years watched Pierce, Ray, KG and Rondo win it in 2012?

Or are you happy how it turned out?

I wouldn't trade that 08 title for anything. It was the revival of the greatest NBA franchise. They don't win the title that year and who knows what would have happened.

I'll never like a sports team more than the 07-08 Celtics. Just something about that team, man...It was just meant to be. I'll never forget banner 17 but the thing i'll remember the most was how happy i was for Pierce. All that he went through, he deserved every part of it.

It's strange to think this team only has 1 title to show for 5 amazing seasons. This team has one more run in them and i feel like 2013 is going to be our year. Lead us to the promise land, Rajon!

I was 13 rows from the court behind the basket the Cs shot at the first half.  Watching the Celtics decimate their biggest rival to win a title was beyond great.
