What a match. Two teams aggressively looking to score. Lots of chances so far

Great save by Isaksson on Terry's header.

Oh wow, from the resulting corner, Theo Walcott belts it in form outside the box after Sweden's initial clearance. Wow, the swerve on that shot was incredible. Completely wrong-footed the keeper.

Ah well, 3-2 England. Lovely job by Walcott to set it up and Welback with the unorthodox finish as he falls down. Great play by both of them.

I can`t tell whether Welbeck wanted to score or control the ball. Either way it was a great goal even byr accident

Interesting stat: Sweden has scored 22 goals in the final stage of euro.... 19 were scored on the second half !!!

Greece and the czech are in the quarterfinals! The least favourites! To be honest i didn't give a single chance to the czechs but they regrouped after the 4 goals fro russia and got a well deserved qualification. Unless a miracle happens greece will face germany ..... a very interesting couple for all the wrong reasons

The least favorites? Greece yes, but CR was always viewed as a team to advance. Poland along with Ireland before any game was played were regarded as the weaker teams in the competition.

I find it ironic that the Russians at the time of the draw were ecstatic thinking this would be a walk in the park. And for irony level over 9000, how about Greece kicking Germany out of the EURO?

What's the first tie breaker to get out of the group stage?  I'm assuming it's head to head and then they probably go to goal differential after that?  If someone has the details on that stuff, would you fill me in.

You got the first right
The second rule is the goal difference but in the games among the tied teams then it`s the number goals in the games of the same teams. The goal difference and the goals scored in all group matches goes 4th and 5th and the last 3 are position in the UEFA ranking , fairplay behaviour and flipping a coin

A win gets the Danes through.  I'm pretty sure that even a tie if Holland beats Portugal would be enough to advance.
