Watching this game though, I do wonder if Rondo was totally plugged in.

It just simply didn't seem like "Rondo".....

Everybody is/was. Including the fans and I'm pretty sure the players were thinking that too. Which is part of the reason we're in this position. Some were even talking Celtics/Spurs when we were still tied at 2 games. SMH.

Thats Rondo for you.

Plays like a superstar in some games, plays like hes not even on the court in others.

The starting five is sluggish. I think they may be playing to many minutes.

He's been great for some games...very good for the rest of the games.

Tonight was the exception. The tell-tale sign for me was Pierce talking to him on the bench that time.

RONDO! Need ya, man.....

Well we have one more chance to get it right. We simply did have it tonight. Philadelphia was good in the 2nd half. Good enough to beat a mediocre team that made the playoffs and by virtue of winning the Division, has a chance to play game Seven on their home court.

We will Have our final answer on Saturday. I can promise that.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

This is a travesty. The Eastern conference is an embarrassment.
It seriously is, and say we do win the next game sadly without Bradley we got no shot to beat Miami we'll win 1 game maye 2.

It'll be injuries yet again (Bradley, Jeff Green, Wilcox etc) that do us in year after year.

I don't get why after the half we were up by 3 then went up by 6 at one point and instead of going in the post forcing the issue/contact to get fouled we go extremely soft and shoot long jumper after jumper. Nobody attacked the basket we walked the ball up the court it was just pathetic.

Eastern Conference would have been fine had Rose and Noah not been injured.  Bulls were likely the best team in the league.

Second is Miami, but without Bosh they are in SERIOUS trouble.  Not to mention with the way Wade is playing.  Miami obviously isn't a deep team... but when they have those 3 megastars playing healthy they are pretty incredible.  When they are down to 1.5... they are in serious trouble.

As nutty as Orlando's season was... they would be a tough team to beat with a healthy Howard dialed in.  Too much size for a lot of teams.  Howard can destroy a lot of teams... like Boston, for instance.  I don't think we'd have the size to really stop Howard.  Without Perk, Howard might average 16 boards and 5 blocks against this tiny squad.  KG would be going through hell in a series against Dwight.  A lot of teams dodged a bullet not having to face him.

Atlanta with a healthy Horford is clearly a totally different team.  Horford came back after 4 months off and still managed to put the fear of god in me during round 1.  He destroyed us in game 5 with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 steals... and then to be expected his legs gave out and he rusted up a 15 point 9 rebound performance that just wasn't enough and we got out alive with a 3 point victory.  Let's just say I wanted NO PART in playing game 7 against Horford in Atlanta.  Had he been 100% this year, that Atlanta team is a heck of a lot better.

I think the Knicks stink and Linsanity is a joke... otherwise this would be the designated paragraph hyping up the fact Lin missed the playoffs.

And then there's Boston.  All things considered, we are technically kinda lucky that our entire Big 4 is active during the playoffs.  Pierce and Ray are clearly not 100%, but still.  I happen to think Jermaine's injury actually saved the season, because it forced us to play KG at center... but it's fair to bring up that JEff Green and Wilcox probably could have helped us this year and in the playoffs.  I'll add Nenad Krstik to that list as well... he was supposed to be a key contributor, but never came back to the states after the lockout.  The Bradley thing is a bummer as well, because he had a string of positive games right before the playoffs...

But really I think overall we should consider ourselves lucky.  The seas totally parted for us here.  We seriously couldn't have asked for an easier path to the NBA finals than the one in front of us... sans maybe an injury to LeBron James.  The East was a heck of a lot nastier until all the best players started dropping off.  Not sure any of the remaining teams can deal with OKC or the Spurs at this point.
