Tim Duncan Hates KG?

This information comes from very reliable sources, who talk about how KG has made a career of trying to punk Duncan, baiting him and slapping him and whispering really weird smack into his ear. They talk about how funny this is, because the worst thing you can do as an opponent is p--- off Duncan. Then, as Malik Rose says, "he f------ destroys you." Duncan's lifetime numbers versus Garnett's teams, by the way: 19.4 points per game, 11.6 boards and a 44--17 record, including the postseason.

Duncan is diplomatic about the topic. Asked if perhaps all those years battling Garnett have softened his feelings for the man, led to a Magic-Larry type of kinship, Duncan leans back on the couch in his hotel room and grins. There is a pause. A longer pause. Finally he says, "Define kinship."

I'd love nothing more than to see KG and Duncan meet in the Finals this year.  As great as both players have been, I almost feel like we've been cheated out of seeing them meet in more high-stakes playoff series.  The two best power forwards of this generation -- and arguably of all-time -- have only met twice, and both times in the first round.  That's just not right.

Kobe and Dirk have similarly not met often in the playoffs.

As for myself, as Charles Barkley once said in response to who he wants in the Finals. "I want the Clippers!"

cant blame him kg slapped him in the head for no reason when they were younger during an altercation. They just have polar opposite personalities, would love to see them matchup in the finals( I think we match up best against the Spurs rather than the thunder or Lakers , so I am definitely rooting for the spurs in the WC)

Oh and I know its an article about TD, but KG's stats are almost identical to Tim's when they go head to head in both regular season and playoffs.

Its crazy that they were born only a month apart and have a similar impact with very different games at the same position.

I think the hate is mutual. I am sure KG believes that one or maybe two of Duncan's rings should be his.

Since joining a real team (like Duncan's Spurs), KG is 4-3 against Duncan and averaging 17 PPG, 8 RPG, 2 APG.

Duncan had Robinson next to him in those early years and then he had Parker, Manu and Co. in the seasons after...

I'm not saying that Duncan isn't one of the greatest big men of all time,  but it's not like those SAS vs MIN match-ups were just Duncan vs. KG.

Duncan vs kg inone of their last runs.

Plus as a team I think we match up with them the best out of the teams in the west.

Who said anything about on the court?  Duncan is almost always respectful off the court as well.  BTW, most everyone that talks about him talks about how respectful and humble he is.
