I'd love to see the AL East standings finish like this -

1) Tampa Bay 2 ) Baltimore 3 ) Toronto

And then have The Sox and Yanks tied for last

I think it would be phenomenal for baseball and it would also force Boston and New York's front offices to reevaluate the way they run things. I'm hoping it would help both teams realize that while titles can be bought that success is usually more sustainable by building up your farm systems and developing your team through the draft.

As a Sox fan it would suck to see them finish last and watch them go through a rebuilding process but as a baseball fan I'd love it. After last year I was all about the Sox going with a youth movement this year. I think it would be better if management just came to the realization that this team isn't championship caliber and they had a fire sale. I'm not sure what they could get exactly for guys like Lester, Beckett, Youk etc. but I think they could get some young talent in return that would help restock the farm system. I know it would never happen but I'd live to see it.
