Not advocating it all.  Curious what others think the value would be.

To trade those two away, you would have to be getting back a top 5 NBA player, otherwise we lose the trade.

So which top 5 NBA players would teams trade thats the question. I doubt any franchise with a top 5 player would trade them to begin with and trading them for a top 10 player you are still losing the trade, because Rondo is essentially a top 10 player already, then you toss in Bradley who has all-star potential.

It is not happening, but I'll humor you.

It would have to be a trade with a team that has a bad backcourt, which means we'd trade away all our backcourt talent and probably get their bad backcourt in return.  It would also have to be a team with a top-15 forward/big (maybe SG) that doesn't need this player.  Which means he's probably overrated.

Unless you got multiple 1st round picks with it, it is a failed idea.

just to add to the "humor" and complexity of this fetching thread of make-believe, keep in mind rondo and bradley's salaries are, in nba star terms, practically tiny.

that means in a trade that requires matching salaries, the celtics would probably have to either to get a really young really great star (maybe still on the rookie contract?)

or....

the celtics would need to package some salaries to go with those two. but after this season, i think only pierce really has a sizable salary....unless KG or allen go in a sign and trade, i suppose.

anyway, in our cb world of humor and make-believe this is an interesting exercise.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Rondo is not a top 10 player.  He might get there but he's not there yet.

And I love Rondo.  So no hate here.

I think the Howard talk could get a lot more interesting and realistic. Depends on how Bradley (and Rondo) finish the season.

Not advocating but before people were talking about just Rondo (as a main Piece) but adding a 21 year old like Bradley really sweetens the pot

I love avery but he needs another season of solid performances before he's worth anything significant to outside teams.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

I think that truly no one has any idea. We all see trades happen that we are shocked about at the time that are often completely lopsided so who knows. Depends on the GM, team etc. Team X will give a ton more than team Y. There are just too many variables.

I do think that for the amount of fans that overvalue our players there are just as many that undervalue and take the extra step to be "un-bias"

Yep, definitely was supposed to be make-believe.  Clever line though. ;)

I think we could get a top 10 player , if available(meaning the player is looking to leave).  I don't think there are any players availavble I'd be willing to give them up for though.

Mo Williams? Yuk.

Rondo and Bradley should fetch more than Blake Griffin. I'm thinking Al Horford more like.
