too much drama, Dwight is an idiot. He should not have signed that extension causing so much problems for everyone.

I put the blame for all of the drama down in Orlando squarely on management.  SVG and Dwight's behaviour has been poor, to say the least, and shows a lack of professionalism.  However, management has been not only the enablers, they have seemingly prompted much of this.

There is now way team management should ever go to a player and ask them if they want a new coach.  That is pathetically amatuer.  Then, to make matters worse, management tells the coach about the dicussion.  It's as if managment is purposely trying to drive a wedge between it's star player and it's head coach.

Now, on top of all that has already transpired, management leaks a supposed conversation in which Dwight told the team he is refusing to play as long as SVG is the coach.  Dwight has been diagnosed with a herniated disk.  You don't play witht that type of injury, you risk you career doing so.  Is Orlando saying Dwight is overblowing the extent of his injury?   Even if true, which I HIGHLY DOUBT, what could the team possibly gain by leaking this?  All any of this stands to do, is potentially lower Dwight's player standing throughout the league.  His trade value is diminishing by the day.

Orlando's ownership would be wise to fire everyone in the front office and start fresh if they are to have any chance of salavaging this situation and keeping Dwight.  I have to imagine Dwight is none to pleased with things down there right now.

Usually Im not in favor of collusion, but Dwight is making a strong case for being amnestied and having nobody in the league pick him up.

I mean if the NFL owners can Collude so can the NBA.  Have to get some power back from the star players.

Im sorry but if Dwights amnestied I would do everything I could to be first in line at contacting him whether I made a secret agreement with owners to talk to or not.

With that being said what a shady move here by Howard if true, but honestly, how many of us knew that this "back injury" had something to do with not playing for Stan? Otis is a dumby, I would have traded howard to the team with the best offer regardless of Howards thoughts on that team... Howard doesnt run the Magic, and ownership shouldnt cave into his demands.

That would be the best move for Dwight at this point, and once its broken instantly get your butt outta town. Its gone too far.

Anyone get the feeling that there is someone in Orlando that doesn't like both of these guys that keeps leaking these stories?

I am thinking Glen Davis.  He has the most to gain.  (see his numbers without Howard)

IF its true, wow
I've had some coaches I out & out hated but I would never give up on my teammates.  IF its true I wouldn't want howard on the celtics at all
Who is quitting on their team? Howard is out with a legitimate injury.

and I have edible balls!  ;D ;D

It also has to be someone who hates the organization.

This hurts DH's value and dramatically reduces what ORL could get for him in a trade.

It also makes the organization seem horrible.

How many FAs will want to sign there now? How many players will kill trades by threatening to not report?
