I put the blame for all of the drama down in Orlando squarely on management. SVG and Dwight's behaviour has been poor, to say the least, and shows a lack of professionalism. However, management has been not only the enablers, they have seemingly prompted much of this.
There is now way team management should ever go to a player and ask them if they want a new coach. That is pathetically amatuer. Then, to make matters worse, management tells the coach about the dicussion. It's as if managment is purposely trying to drive a wedge between it's star player and it's head coach.
Now, on top of all that has already transpired, management leaks a supposed conversation in which Dwight told the team he is refusing to play as long as SVG is the coach. Dwight has been diagnosed with a herniated disk. You don't play witht that type of injury, you risk you career doing so. Is Orlando saying Dwight is overblowing the extent of his injury? Even if true, which I HIGHLY DOUBT, what could the team possibly gain by leaking this? All any of this stands to do, is potentially lower Dwight's player standing throughout the league. His trade value is diminishing by the day.
Orlando's ownership would be wise to fire everyone in the front office and start fresh if they are to have any chance of salavaging this situation and keeping Dwight. I have to imagine Dwight is none to pleased with things down there right now.
