Towards the bottom of the article is this little nugget about Garnett.

What the Nets are thinking— reportedly — is that they need to upgrade the roster and power forward is one place they feel they can do better. The team reportedly plans to chase after Boston’s Kevin Garnett as they try to add star power for when they move into the Barclays Center.

I just read this myself... I'm sure alot of teams will be interested in KG but lets hope he re-signs before anyone can make an offer

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I'm going to go on ahead and pursue Eva Mendes for an upgrade at the awesome girlfriend position, in anticipation of my move to the Barclay center.

Call me crazy but I have no concerns about KG bolting to NJ. As long as Ainge offers a deal somewhere in the ballpark of any other team he'll be here.

KG is big on loyalty and the Celtics have no other relative options.

Towards the bottom, fans take Humphries over KG in comments.

Kevin didn't appreciate being dangled before the trade deadline, and stated as much.

Celtics Stuff Live thought this meant that Kevin would demand a no-trade clause when he re-signs, but I don't know.

For all I know, Kevin's loyalty to the Celtics is over.

Expect a tough fight to re-sign him.

Disagree. Kevin respects loyalty, and his name was never really involved in trade talks on the level PP's was. If RA and PP are both on board to come back I don't see why Kevin doesnt. Even if RA moves on I bet Garnett comes back.

Well, this is old news that came up a month or two ago.  I think Ainge has big interest in bringing KG back at this point, especially given what he's taught the young guys about defense.

At his age, years can't be a big factor, so the C's should be able to keep him as long as they are willing to match salary.

And I have zero problem with Danny giving him 2 years.  This let's KG and PP (and maybe Ray) all go out together in 2014.  We get two more years to teach the young guys and then in 2014 either make a run at some free agents or look to repeat what Danny did in the summer of 2007.
