In case you haven't seen it, here's a clip that pretty much confirmed that Dwight asked for SVG to be fired:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y08gvGpGCwA
And it's from this thread:
http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?topic=55097.0

First of all, am I the only one who is a bit irked and grossed out by the video? Dwight pretty much took Stan's job and was acting all jovial about it.

So what if they'd traded him when they could have? They'd be rebuilding but they could have been way, way ahead. Would be fun to hypothesize what they could have gotten.

I'm thinking the Bulls. Joakim Noah is one of the, something like, three healthy centers in the league. Plus, with the slew of role players and potential players they have, the Magic can get quite a hefty return. On the other hand, the Bulls would be all over Dwight + Rose, like ants.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=77rozgn

With this trade, the Magic are getting 5 players who are a large reason why the Bulls have been maintaining the record without Rose. Plus there's a center and few teams can offer that. Taj Gibson and Ryan Anderson clogging up the PF is what you call a good problem. Could probably even grab a couple picks from the Bulls if they tried hard enough.

Add a third team and things could get feisty...

What do you think? Do you like this for either team? Is it realistic?(I'll admit I'm not the best trade idea guy.)

What trades would you have done (realistic or not)?

Dwight is a liar. I don't like him, respect him, or like to watch him play.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

If i was Orlando I would have moved this primadonna for the best package available. No matter what team it was that was offering the best deal, he has been acting like a big ole brat all season, if I were the Magic I would have said well, screw you man, we're sending you to team A, have fun.

I have no respect for Howard after this.

Him wanting another coach is fine with me, but smiling and hugging Stan in front of the media after he stabbed him in the back is just pathetic.

Not to mention the fact that he just quit on his team vs Knicks. 8 points? Really? He calls himself a leader?!

I don't want this guy anywhere near Celtics. Circus he created this season, his immaturity level and the fact he changes his mind every five minutes makes Lebron's 'Decision' looks great.

If I was owner of the Magic I would ship his ass to the Bobcats just for the LOLs.

Dwight acted poorly, but Stan should have been fired years ago.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Ever see "All the President's Men?".   That was a non-denial denial...he never really, explicitly said no, he didn't ask for SVG to fired.  The saga continues in Orlando....

Though people say they don't want Dwight now because he's a headcase, but be realistic. Any team would LOVE to have Dwight on their team including us.

Though he might or WILL bring drama with him, but thats going to be a risk teams will have to take to get him

I think Stan Van Gundy is a great coach. I love what Stan Van Gundy did. If I was running the Magic, what would I have gotten Dwight? Whatever coach he wanted, and another dozen bags of skittles.

BTW, did Dwight's response to the media remind anyone else of this kid?:

Like, if he talks quieter maybe we won't think he's lying.

Dwight has got to be one of the biggest hypocrites in the league.  He publicly presents himself as a devout Christian, when he's really impregnating Magic Dancers out of wedlock and blatantly lying to people's faces.

The guy has gone from one of the league's good guys, to one of its scumbags.

Why does Howard want Van Gundy fired? When did I miss this?

He has been coaching him forever and I know he had issues with him at one point but what flipped in these last couple months?

Because he's a child who isn't used to people making power moves like Stan just made. Dwight Howard would much prefer Kenny Smith to coach / guest MC

Dwight is a huge hypocrite and just a complete tool....

but The Orlando Magic or proving to be a completely incompetent organization.  If your main priority really is to lock Dwight up long-term right now, then why would you betray his trust and run to SVG with what he said?

I think they value SVG a lot, and fear firing a good coach and then losing their superstar a year later. That's a flawed logic, because you're just annoying both parties at this point, but I think that's what's going on here.

When did he get a dancer pregnant? Haven't heard about this one.
