I think Kentucky and North Carolina could both beat the Wizards.  Bobcats too.  Quite possibly even Toronto as well.  Maybe even New Orleans for that matter.

I doubt college kids could deal with Kaman, Jack & Ariza to be honest....especially the craftyness of kaman.

that's why I consider NO a maybe.  however, I do feel those schools have superior athletes and seemingly more depth than those NBA teams.  They very well might Kaman into the ground.  Jack is an ok PG, not elite.  Ariza is a decent wingman but certainly not a go-to guy.  No one on NO is all that scary as a player.

It wouldnt surprise me to see them put up a decent fight. You would think the NBA caliber Wizards would be able to pull out the win though.

I would be willing to bet a reasonable amount of money that a fully fit new orleans team with Landry, Aminu, Kaman, Smith, Okafor, Jack, Ariza, Vasquez would have no issues disposing with Kentucky. Men against boys.

Kentucky's bench would get absolutely demolished by the Wizards bench. It'd be the Globetrotters against the Generals when the reserves came in.

Why not?  I'd love to see it.  Kentucky would probably have the two best players in the entire game.  Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist are projected in some drafts to go #1 and #2... and signs point to Anthony Davis being a phenom.  Guy is getting compared to Duncan.  Defensively he looks like a major game-changer.  Isn't he averaging like 7 blocks a game?  Ridiculous.  I've heard such hyperbole-filled statements as "I have never seen a prospect as good as Davis" and "he basically has no weaknesses".   I think it's fair to just say... Blake Griffin was dominant in College and is a beast in the NBA.  Most scouts are suggesting Davis is a better prospect than Griffin.  So that might tell you something.

Lets not forget the Wizards are garbage.  I think it could be close.

Still... even if it's true that Kentucky had the 4 best players they'd still likely get owned by a team with 13.  Kinda reminds me of the 2012 Boston Celtics.  Four players only gets you so far.

Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.  I mean come on.

John Wall was the #1 pick in the draft in case people have forgotten.  A guy like Jordan Crawford, who is playing like 27 minutes for the Wizards, was a 21 point scorer at Xavier a couple of years ago.  Nick Young was scoring over 17 a game for USC his finals two years there.  Even a rookie like Chris Singleton was a 13/7 man at Florida State.  Trevor Booker 13/8 over his entire 4 year career at Clemson.  Even Shelvin Mack who barely plays for the Wizards, led his team to back to back national championship games putting up 15/4/3 during those seasons.

No college team could beat a NBA team.  Now if you took a college all star team, they might have a shot, but I still  wouldn't expect them to win, I just wouldn't be totally surprised if they did.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Any NBA team has a huge advantage.

The edge in terms of physicality and smarts is massive.

I'd wager that the following team could easily beat Kentucky:

Ben Wallace
Juwan Howard
Jerry Stackhouse
Derek Fisher
Mike James

(These are the five oldest guys in the NBA who are not actually good).

They might have a chance against a bottom feeding NBDL team.  At least both teams play about 7-8 deep.

Watching how well coached the Iowa Energy is....No college team would come within 20 points.

Let's also remember how outstanding a pro coach Calipari was...lol.

I was going to go with 'then Gary Williams is wrong....DEAD wrong.'
