Yes yes, I know there's a topic about music where we post what we're listening to. The thing is just, I reckoned this lady deserves her own topic. She's a witch I tells ya, that's how ridiculously skilled she is.

Basically, she covers songs by popular bands on keys, be it piano or keyboard. Ridiculous.

Here's some examples:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30EGhwVcFds

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIJPxxoF7dw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhbeNEtkgDs

Just to name a few bands:
Muse
Metallica
Jimmi Hendrix
Deep Purple
David Bowie
Nirvana
Pink Floyd
Korn
Goo Goo Dolls
Guns 'n Roses
Radiohead
Nine Inch Nails

Heck, she even does System of a Down's "Chop Suey". NUTS!

Check out her Youtube channel and let me know which ones you like best. I've listened to about 80% of it all :D

Cheers.

Yeh, ditto. I re-discover her every few months, and get stuck in her youtube page for like, hours.

Edit:  Meh.  Maybe I'm a tough critic, but I find her exceptionally boring.

You want talent?  Ronald Jenkees has talent (don't care if his gimmick is fake or not... that boy has skill)

I've seen too many wildly talented people on youtube (jenkees is just one of a dozen I could share)... piano chick was putting me to sleep.

That's one thing that blows my mind, how many people are awesome at the piano, and I never would have known it without youtube.

One thing I think is amazing, any song you like (and I'm more of a hip hop guy) just type in the name of the song and the  words "piano cover" after it, and there's usually tons of videos popping up.  That people can just take a Kanye West, Dr. Dre, Rza song whatever, and convert it to a great sounding piano piece, wow.

I wish I had piano skills like those people.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Yup... this internet thing might catch on afterall.

At any moment you can be one of 17 million to watch a dude drumming along to mario:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZqwvjwqwK4

Or be one of the 14 million people to watch a white chick outdo Lil Wayne and Busta:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khCokQt--l4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Od6sUNTHiHs

or watch whatever heck this is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjJrTlCqki0

or this blind dude and his slap guitar/vocal trumpet:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0s_loXy3ExE

Or watch this crazy latin guitar duo:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-qgum7hFXk

... My point is... if you're going to do a cover of a popular song at least do it with some flair:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gtl8K0kO4P4

It doesn't stop, though... a random piano cover doesn't do it for me anymore

not a big fan of organ, although im better at it than piano. showmanship and flair matters a bit though, it could sometimes make something above avrage look exceptional.

I've never been hugely into instrumental music, however, about 30 years ago I was watching the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and this kid came on and started playing the guitar.  I'd never seen anything like it and I haven't since.

I am sure many of you have discovered this guy.  He either invented or perfected the art of guitar 'tapping' and he is mesmerising. I've seen fast and gifted guitar players, but this guy is an innovator and an artist.

If I knew how to post a you-tube here I'd do it.  But I'll let you.   His name is Stanley Jordan.

Perhaps you should have not listened to a song you find boring, but instead listened to a song that shows off her skill. The Master of Puppets one is insane.

Anyway, no need to be all "my links are better than yours" and borderline insulting with "is she your wife or something". As I said, I just enjoyed the way she covered some of my favorite bands.

Her SoaD and Metallica covers are some of the best on the web.

Lol sorry Kioriki... It was wicked late and I didn't understand what was so interesting about her.  Equally sorry if she is in fact your wife.  She's not bad looking.  Hat tip!

I watched her "Smells like Teen Spirit" video.  Still just wasn't really feeling it.  She's got talent, though.
