According to Hoopsworld...

Quote
The Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns are among the teams expressing interest in unrestricted free agent Josh Powell, according to sources close to the situation. The 29-year-old signed in China during the lockout, but now he’s back in the United States and weighing his options. HoopsWorld

I dont know much about his game and dont really remember seeing much of his play. But he is only 29. His best year was 6 and 5 a game for the Clippers. At this point I think he would just be another body, Im hoping to look for better options... Im sure that the Celtics will be "expressing interest" in pretty much any big man at this point.

I take it Danny's looking to add both a center and rebounding PF, so Powell makes pretty good sense for the latter.

Powell was a pretty poor rebounder his last two years in the league.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I have literally never seen Josh Powell play a minute that I remember. I do not think I could pick him out of a crowd. And I know who Rafael Araujo is.

LOL he's the tall guy who looks like Prodigy from Mobb Deep who used to be on the lakers a while back.  He's not great but he has discernible skill from what little I can remember.  I remember him being more of a pick and pop player, and not much of a rebounder, but he has decent size and isn't Mark Blount so I don't see how he couldn't be a help on the boards.

Is it fair to speculate that he does in fact, 'Keep It Thoro'?

Fair assessment, heard he was dropped from the lakers for throwing a TV at Jackson.
