Makes sense. They only have two playable bigs and one of them is Biedrins. Lots of minutes available. They may have a spot for him next season too.

CRAP! Would've loved to see him in Boston.

Since when is Hoopsrumors a reliable source of information? Until this is on ESPN there's no reason to believe it. (For the record, I looked at Hoopsrumors ... the source for the Warriors-Hickson connection is ... another blog.  ::) )

Not saying this won't happen, but really, there's no reason to believe every single tweet and blog post on the Internet.

Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting on Twitter that Golden State and Phoenix are the front-runners.  I think people respect Woj.

In other news, the Heat are reportedly interested in Mikki Moore.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Please add rumor to the title.

Signing with warriors over celtics I'm not sure. His agent has to be telling him about playoff expos ure with celtics. He will be the 6th man for Boston in possibly 2 playoff series. Warriors can offer him a third of a season with no playoff exposure, and they will send him to the end of the bench after this season when they go shopping for bigs. And oh, there is no way Danny is giving up even a second rounder for this guy. Lol.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Why not just claim him off waivers?

Doesn't he have to clear wavers first?

Hickson to Golden State isn't done until it's done.

Per this article from yesterday, there are other teams under consideration:

CK: What’s next for you?  There are reports that you’re interested in signing with Golden State or Phoenix.  Are they true?

Hickson: (There’s) a couple teams especially the two that you just mentioned.  We’re still talking and hopefully I can find the right situation for myself and then we’ll go from there.

CK: Are there other teams besides Golden State and Phoenix that you’re considering?

Hickson: Yeah, but I’d rather not say.

Warriors are interested, but reportedly will not put in a waiver claim on Hickson:

Warriors will definitely make a run at J.J. Hickson when he clears waivers. I asked one GSW exec why has Hickson falling off so fast. He said "I don't know, but we want to find out." The Warriors won't claim him off waivers, though, and pay a fraction of the $2.35M he has remaining this year. But they are very interested in bringing on the guy for whom the Kings gave up Omri Casspi and a first-rounder to get. Yahoo! Sports first reported the Warriors' interest in JJ
