We need bigs, and I think there are two moves the C's can make, that will allow them to attain 3 bigs. In my opinion these trades are reasonable and are do-able in real life, and not in fantasy world.

Both of these trades worked on the Trade Machine:

Boston trades: Jermaine Oneal
               (or JO + Keyon Dooling)

Minnesota trades: Brad Miller
                        Anthony Randolph

                        And

Boston trades: Marquis Daniels
               (or Sasha Pavlovic)

Cleveland trades: Semih Erden

What are the opinions about these deals?

First trade intrigues me.

The second one...not sure the Cavs would do it. He's shown flashes of excellence.

I was thinking that also about the Cavs, and so I checked and found out that over the past 8 games he has logged a total of 5 mins. He's had 7 straight DNP's and did not play in tonights game, so I'm not so sure they wouldn't be willing to deal him.

The definition of lateral moves.

Miller can't really play any more.

Erden isn't a NBA rotation  big.

Randolph has potential, but he can't do much right now.

Of course, you arent' giving up anything in terms of players, but the only way to get this trades done is by adding some incentive - money or 2nd round picks. Not worth it. Better to target some guy(s) who can actually play a little with those expirings.

At this point Celtics won't be able to find a difference maker center. A serviceable one will make do. I think you are correct Semih Erden can be had. Kyrylo Fesenko is free agent vet waiting to be signed.

Get Semih back if he's available for change.

Send JO and Dooling to:

a) Minny for Beasley and Randolph

b) Washington for McGee and Blatche, a.k.a. the Knucklehead Twins.

Either way you have to send the Clippers pick. If it can be done, Danny should pull the trigger.

a pick in the middle twenties is valuable, but not a sure thing (see Giddens, JR).

If those options are not available, sign Fessenko or Gadzuric and wait for Diaw/Kaman (not likely) to be bought out.

We need bigs.

Danny's excuse was that Semih wanted to return to Turkey in the off season, wonder what happened there  ::) Would take Semih back in a minute.

Why would Minnesota do this trade?  The answer is they wouldn't...

I think we really over value Erden on this board.  Is tall and breathing what we are looking for?

Why not? Their asking price for Beasley is a pick, which the Lakers deemed was too much. Anthony Randolph rarely plays (only two games in 2012).

I think the Lakers cared more about having to pay additional luxury tax if they used a trade exception to get Beasley than they cared about having to cough up a draft pick.  I think they would happily trade Luke Walton and a pick for Beasley even if Walton didn't have another year to go on his contract.

I wouldn't say trading quis for erden is overvaluing.

That is not what happended with the Lakers.  What happened is they don't wan tto pick up any salary, none zero.l  it has nothing to do with Beasely and trade value.  Both Randolph an Beasely by themselves are worth more than this trade offer is.
