Besides his noticeable talents as a rebounder and shot-blocker, Bogut also has a favorable contract. After this season, he has two years remaining: $13.1 million for the 2012-13 season and $14.2 million for the 2013-14 season.

Bogut is also just 27 and theoretically entering the prime of his career, As such, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that a slew of teams are either privately discussing acquiring Bogut or have already contacted the Bucks about him.

That includes teams are currently in the lottery like Charlotte, Golden State, Washington, New Orleans and Houston, among others, along with some teams currently in the playoffs, like Atlanta, Boston and Orlando, among others.

* I’ve heard the Bucks have been offered a “young, All-Star type point guard” for center Andrew Bogut. If that is true, and the Bucks took up that offer, would that mean current point guard Brandon Jennings could be jettisoned as well? Yes, it would.

Hmmmm the bucks were offered a young all-star PG for Bogut/

Rondo is the only one that comes to mind because Roe,Williams,CP3,Westbrook are not getting offered for Bogut

Could Danny be trying to land Bogut and Jennings for Rondo and pieces ?  :o

jennings doesn't' do it for me
no way would i trade rondo for the pair, however i'd love us to get bogut, when he's healthy he is a very good center much more polished offensively than most in nab and a good rebounder

This is per Bucks beat writer, Gery Woelfel

Could this possibly be for Rondo? Sure it's speculation, but don't know how many teams have an all-star pg and a major hole in the middle.

Sounds like the Bucks leaking to try to up the offers for Bogut.  Thus I'd take their terming of an "All-Star type" PG with a packet of salt--could just be Raymond Felton.

My guess is it's John Wall. The Wizards are rumored to be after Bogut. If the Bucks take Blatche in a deal I can see it happening.
The Wizards aren't giving up on John Wall. Certainly not for Bogut.

a trade of

Bos sends: Rondo,JJJ and picks
Mil sends: Jennings and Bogut

That makes a lot of sense for the C's because it only adds 4 mil to our payroll next year meaning the c's would still have max money to spend and a core of Jenning,Bogut and PP instead  of just Rondo and PP. You would also be all set at the center position(as long as Bogut stays healthy, hasn't had any knee injuries, just broken bones) meaning you could offer Harden or Gordon a max deal

PG: Jennings
SG: Harden or Gordon/ Ray
SF: PP
PF: KG? BASS?
 C: Bogut

Not sure if  Mil would do it though?

A healthy Bogut makes these trades worth it, but...that's just never going to happen.

I'm also not sure about Jennings in the long-term. He's made it clear that he'd be pursuing a big market when he becomes a free agent. Boston definitely falls under that category, but I think he's going to ask for a ton of money. I'd rather not overpay for a guy like Jennings.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Pretty tenuous rumor, but Jennings/Bogut is the type of return you'd hope for if you're moving Rondo.

There were reports that Golden State were interested in Bogut and that Jerry West was a big fan of him. I would guess that the two teams have had preliminary discussions on either Monta Ellis and/or Steph Curry.

That that is the team and players being talked about by Gerry Woefel.

Monta/Kwame Brown/Monta Ellis for Bogut/S-Jax/Gooden works.

That seems plausible. Another one I was thinking was maybe Indiana swapping out Collison, as they've been looking for another Center for their roster. That and Bird seems hell-bent on offering a deal for players that we'd be interested in, too.

No way would Danny do that.

I would sure hope not... Aside from Lebron, Jennings is my least favorite player in the league. Rondo is much better than a jennings/bogut combo.

John Wall is not an all-star PG; at least not yet anyways.  Plus an article came out the other day saying WAS was making anyone on their roster available if you were willing to take  Blatche; only exception was Wall.

I think you underestimate Wall's value.

He's not leaving the Wizards anytime soon.

If it's not Rondo, and it's not Wall, who is it then? There is no way DWill, CP3, or Westbrook are going to be traded for Bogut. Who's left as an all-star type pg?
I suppose maybe Kyrie Irving or Kyle Lowry

I'd have no sympathy ever again for the Cavs if they made that deal.

Jennings sucks and Bogut is too injury prone.
