I think we could swing a deal here that would really help us.  We get some size and some added scoring punch off the bench.  McGee and Blatche may be knuckleheads but I get a feeling that KG, Paul and Ray won't allow it and maybe in an atmosphere like the Celtics have, they would grow up a bit... These are all very talented and young players.  For a low price, it is well worth a shot.

JaVale McGee
Andray Blatche
Jordan Crawford

Jermaine O'Neal
Keyon Dooling
Marquis Daniels

How much do people think JaVale Will fetch on the open market?

If the Celtics have any interest in him this offseason I think it would make sense to make a play for him now so he gets a half season around the vets.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Deandre Jordan got 4 years/$43m.  Is McGee worth more than Jordan?

No I think he is going to get a comparable contract to Jordan. I'm not sure I'd give him that much, however anything less than that I expect Washington to match.

Now Hibbert is also a restricted free agent and I think he'll get slightly north of Jordan and McGee.

I'm going to go with Ryan Anderson as the restricted free agent I would rather go after.  I think he is less likely to be overpaid than McGee or Hibbert and most likely to be under-valued by his current team.

Max=$14,5M

My guess;

Hibbert=$12M
B.Lopez=$10M
McGee=$8M
Asık=$5M

I'd say Hibbert gets about the same as McGee. Maybe a smidge less.

Hibbert is the better player currently but McGee has more potential.

Yeah, I think McGee is worth more than Jordan. Not a lot more but a bit more. A million or two more per year. Say 4 years $50 million.

McGee has played at a higher level than Jordan has for longer than Jordan did prior to his contract + has a better offensive repertoire than Jordan has. Hence, the slightly higher contract.

My guesses would be:

B.Lopez = $13-14 million
McGee = $12+ million
Hibbert = $12 million
Asik = $6-7 million

I wouldn't be surprised to see any of B.Lopez, McGee or Hibbert land a maximum contract.

I'd rather send the Clipper's pick for Blatche/McGee than for Beasley. Next year we're not getting Howard or Deron, so Blatche's money isn't that big of an issue.

Blatche may not have his mind right in the game, kind of like Beasley. I think the talent is there, you just have to carry his contract and hope he plays to it. I don't think it's that hard, Blatche is a very good offensive player and the big concern would be his D.

McGee is a different kind of person. He could look like an All Star with Rondo setting him and giving him easy dunks... or in worst-case-scenario Rondo will kill him if he does what he did to Wall on that video  ::)

I don't think there's any player in the draft (outside the lottery) who can be as good as Blatche, and/or with McGee's impact. Send JO's expiring, Dooling to make some room for Moore, and Stiemsma who would lose his spot to McGee. This way you keep a roster spot just in case Diaw or some valuable veteran is available.

JO+Dooling+Steamer+Clipper's pick
for
Blatche+McGee

Low risk, high potential reward. I'm not sure the rumor is true, but if they're available, Danny needs to get it done.

Based on LaMarcus Aldridge's contract i guess Hibbert gets 12m. Jordon's contract unrealistic IMO. Why Clippers gave that money i don't know. He can't shot. No post up play, no pick and pop, very limited offensive play.

McGee can,t shot but little better post-up player. Lopez much better post-up player but injuries still concern me. Hibbert can shot, can play pick and pop, better post-up player than others. He has got more weapon on offense.

Actually, If we can't sign Dwight Howard, my first choice would be Hibbert. Maybe combination between Hibbert and Asık. But Bulls will be match Asık offers, i think. Maybe Hawes?

But who knows what will happen in the future. If i have a chance to get McGee now. I get him.
